1995 Volvo 850 turbo wagon with 303 whp
Really old picute, just after the FMIC installed, before I repainted the front bumper. Don't think I have any newer ones

Replaced it with a 2003 Mini Cooper S tuned to 201 whp, day I got the car

Replaced that with a debadged 2013 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works, day I got the car, some mods are planned, plus it has a warranty

Hmmmm....if I can remember what I owned from the start...from start to finish:

89 Dodge Caravan
85 Fiero 2M4
91 Geo Storm GSI
87 Toyota Supra Turbo
93 RX7 Twin Turbo
91 RX7 Base
88 RX7 Anniversary Edition Turbo
97 F-150 Flareside 4x4
99 Mustang GT
96 Acura Integra
90 Nissan 300zx
05 Acura MDX

Still in the stable:
99 F-150 Lightning
09 Acura MDX
86 Fiero GT

A few bikes (all sold, due to having a family):
89 Yamaha FZR600
00 Honda CBR 600 F4i
01 Honda CBR 600 F4i

The next car, assuming I consolidate just a bit and if I can pass it by the fiance':
96/97 Dodge Viper GTS (blue and white) or any 96-01 Acura NSX. Always dreamed of those cars from the day they came out.

If those don't pass, it will be a 4 door Cadillac CTS-V, (assuming she never sees the MPG)

Maybe 10 years from now....current or next gen Nissan GTR. That can still carry the kids

Better keep my job!

Cars I've had (most of them):

69 Cuda 340S fastback got it new! My first new car. -Was fast, fun and raced for it for maybe 8 years.

65 Corvair 4 spd 4 carbed corsa or monza?. -Handled like a *^%$%v snake on crack, but it was fun.

77 Plym Arrow 2.6 -would have a lot more fun if it had a stick..

73 Dodge Charger.- looked fast but only had a 318 - sun roof slid full open in a snowstorm and jammed!

77 Fiat 124 Spider, lots of fun until the rust won. Anyone looking for fresh 1,800 engine?

Cars I still have:

86 Fiero GT- 10 lbs of boost with intercooler, forged pistons and lots of other mods, thinking about selling it soon.

87 Fiero GT - All-out, highly modified NA 2.8.

99 Chry Cirrus, DD. ho homm

Bikes, had:
76 Honda 350
85 Honda 750
Still have -
85 Yamaha Maxim XJ 700. 10k org miles, selling it, bad back,

Ranked by model year:

2013 Dodge Charger. Not my usual small car, but I love it.

2013 Subaru Outback. For hauling the toys and being the family hauler. (My wife's). The 6 cylinder boxer has tons of power, and for a Crossover I can fling this around curves better than some sporty cars I have driven. Very good balance and dynamics, especially considering it is a crossover.

2009 Volvo C30. This car was just terrific. Too bad everyone else used it as a bumper car.

2008 Honda Accord (technically my wife's car). This was the biggest POS I have ever had the displeasure of owning.

2007 WRX. This car was also terrific fun. A little on the cheap side inside, and with rather thin body panels, but amazing to drive.

2002 Jeep Wrangler Sahara (shown) and an '03 Sport.

1997 Ford Probe. This car drove very nice, but was an utter lemon.

1991 Ford Probe GL Fond memories as I bought this car as a senior in high school

1981 Ford Fairmont, my first car.

(I have also had three Fieros. 88 Formula, 88 Formula TTop, 85 SE 2m6.)

In order of how much I love them...

1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, "Stella the Jeep"

Absolutely fantastic ride. Most fun I've ever had in a vehicle, ever. Jeeps are one of the most polarizing things you will ever drive. Either you love them, or you can't stand them. Every day I don't drive this old jeep, I feel a tiny bit more sad. Alas, but eventually she started to fall apart, and at the time I didn't have the mechanical skills to keep her running. Oh how I regret selling her.

1987 Pontiac Fiero GT, "Chrystina the Fiero"

Named after the most high-maintenance woman I've ever loved. Lots of fun to play with, but way too many problems to ever be reliable. Also daddy issues.

2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe (2.0T), name TBA

Just hit 2000 miles... ridiculously fun, but more importantly, the ride is smooth and the interior is comfortable. It's amazing how much improvement cars have over the ones from 8 years ago, like...

2005 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2L, "Seraph the Slobalt"

She was a deceptive car. She went over 110,000 miles without any major mechanical issues. Until she started shutting off whenever I hit a hard bump. I really did like this car a lot until it decided it wanted to kill me at every opportunity. Alas GM, how the mighty have fallen.

Let's see if I can remember them all.

85 Chrysler LeBaron. First car my parents got for me when I was in High-school. Looked like this one, same color and door count.

84 Nissan Kingcab 720 2wd. I purchased when I graduated High-school and returned the Chrylser to my parents. This one made it's way to California Accessories within days of purchase to be lowered and a boomin system followed shortly there after. It looked a lot like this one except tan in color and by the time I eventually sold it, much lower.
This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.

81 Volkswagen Rabbit. Like this but white.

82 Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup. Like this but yellow.

86 Ford Tempo. Like this but even uglier because it was a faded sky blue...

89 Ford Taurus. I don't recall the color ours was. It was a darker metallic but I forget if it was to the brown or red side. I do recall the dark red interior unfortunately.

82 Pontiac Trans Am with the 5spd and 305 V8. Like this one except Metallic Brown with Metallic Gold lower molding not on this car (I think the P.O. added that from a later model T/A). Oh and a big gold flaming chicken on the hood. I actually really enjoyed that car and kinda wish I still had it.

92 Saturn SL1. Looked like this one in a darker Metallic Gray (like that one might be but it looks blue to me). This was one of my favorite cars I've owned.
This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.

02 Plymouth Neon. First "bought new" car, and the last. It's color was "Salsa"!

95 Dodge Grand Caravan. I guess "Grand" meant it was about 12" longer...

85 Volkswagen Golf. Now we can get into some actual images. This was my Golf that I bought for $500 and then turned around and sold 5 years or so later for... $500. It didn't really take much in the way of maintenance and I loved that car.

96 Jeep Cherokee. This was a departure for me. First and last SUV I've owned. That's not to say I'll never have another SUV just I'm not planning to currently. It did what it did good. That was never an issue. The only "real" issue aside from a failed fuel pump was the chassis rot. Poor thing was getting 4"+ holes rusted out in the floorboard.

00 Pontiac Bonneville. This one made me a fan of the 3800 in NA trim. I've never driven a SC but with the reliability of the NA, I would not object to owning one. This car was soooooo comfortable and fun to drive. It was quick enough, I just wish it was smaller. For some reason my wife and I always end up back in a smaller 4 cylinder car. The VW Golf and Mazda Protege5 represent a bit over half our marriage time. Add in the Neon's... Still the TA, SL1 and this Bonneville were "larger" vehicles that I liked/like.

84 Pontiac Fiero. It was fun for sure!

95 Dodge Neon.
96 Dodge Neon.
The 95 was the driver. The 96 was bought with a bad engine but a nice interior and body so I could swap parts over to the 95 and fix it up.

02 Mazda Protege5. Current daily driver and no plans to replace it any time soon. I like it. A new "toy" car maybe, but this will stay the daily.

I think that's all of them...

Out of those, I wouldn't object to owning another of any of these again.

The Pontiac Trans Am.
The Saturn SL1.
The VW Golf.
The Pontiac Bonneville.
The Dodge Neon.
The Mazda Protege5.

Model A 2 dr sedan bought at age 15 and put a Olds in it, this was 1958
Traded the model A for a 27 T bucket with a early Cad and La Sal stick trans.
49 Olds convertible, put a 56 engine in it, the engine ran real good.
Wrecked the Olds, put the engine in a Henery J, this car was fast, wouldn't be today but was back then.
There was a TriumpeTR-3 in there somewhere
65 Falcon Ranchero 289 auto.
67 Chevy pickup bought new 327 auto would only do 85 flat out.
67 Ranchero 390 this car would be called a muscle car today.
72 Datsun pickup bought new and grew to hate the gutless pile of crap.
During the period of the above 4 pickups I was real active in desert Hare and Hound motorcycle racing
Another 65 Ranchero the others were pretty new, its now where this one is old.
1st V8 Vega 327 was fast but didn't keep long
240 Z with a 350 fast good car, nice to drive, got rear ended broke my heart.
74 Luv pickup with a 350
Vega with a 283
Vega station wagon with a 350
71 Vega with a 350 later a 408, I had this car 12 years and drove it daily, my fastest car. The 408 was a near drag race engine.
87 GT 5 speed wrecked about a half year ago, drove regularly, nice car.
87 Prelude Si 5 spd. still own.
88 CRX Si 5 spd. still own.
95 del Sol with the rare DOHC VTEC 8,200 redline, I'm old and don't rev it that high but this car is nice and fun to drive. still own
The above 3 Hondas have been restored but are drivers, not show quality.

I usually look after my cars, but once body RUST hits, you have to move on.
NOT a problem since I got the Fiero. So I don't have as varied list as some

1966 Valiant Barracuda Formula S 4-speed - first car - 1972 (a whole 15 miles per gallon!!)
1972 Austin Marina GT - only NEW car I ever bought
1969 Chevy Camaro RS - 327 automatic
1972 Plymouth Duster - 340 automatic
1974 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe - 350 automatic
1979 Chev Monza Spyder - swapped 350, 4-speed
1987 Fiero GT (daily driver until 2001)
1984 Fiero Indy SD4 (purchased 2006)

Daily Drivers since 2001 have been Plymouth/Dodge mini-vans (2006 Grand Caravan at present)
Good in snow, handy when you have more than 1 passenger and great for camping.

List is too long over the years...hit the highlights

1st car (Literally): 64 1/2 Mustang GT 3-Speed Hurst / 289 Hi-Pro from factory Wimbledon White (CODE:M) exterior / palomino interior with embroidered running ponies and rally pack (clock & tack) on the column. crated the 289 and dropped in a 427CJ and NOS fogging...was a blast.

2nd note-worthy car: 1984 GT Mustang (20 year anniversary edition) GT 350...a lot of power in a little hatchback!

3rd note-worthy car: 91 240sx...did one of the 1st SR20 swaps many many moons ago...that was a blast

4th note-worthy car: 08 Infiniti G37s...just a fun car to drive....very responsive!

5th note-worthy car: 93 R1 RX7....never going to sell that car if I can help it....enough said!

I love Mini Cooper's, and 200 HP on a little car like that is just stupid crazy. I love it!

I've never owned a noteworthy car other than my 04 Ram Hemi, and the Fiero. Everything else has been boring family mobiles or econo, get to work, transportation. My noteworthy car years are ahead of me as soon as I get rid of all these kids. They are not leaving as fast as I would like though.

I happened to see this thread, so thought I would post my list. Some cars may be less familiar to Stateside forum readers. In chronological order, they are

Bedford van - former Post Office mail delivery vehicle, bought when I was a penniless student
Hillman Avenger GLS - not many of them left now, even in UK
Peugeot 504 saloon - I owned two in succession. Tough, comfortable French cars
Honda Accord hatchback - smooth engine, poor paintwork, prone to rust
Reliant Scimitar GTE - great car to drive, my first plastic (well, fibreglass) bodied car. Still regret selling it.
Range Rover - goes anywhere, but with a huge thirst for fuel
Peugeot 505 saloon - another fine French car
Dodge Intrepid - my first American car. Interesting and stylish, great airconditioning

And the more recent and current vehicles

1983 Matra Murena - similar configuration to the Fiero but (I think) more stylish - 2.2 mid engine, fibreglass body, drives like a dream

1990 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC - brilliant engineering, phenomenal performance, great long-distance cruiser.... and very fast

1993 Jeep Cherokee - old faithful, has been halfway across the world, copes with deserts, mountains, snow and rocks, and keeps going. That's a roof tent on top

The most recent acquisition is a Lexus IS300 Sportcross - no pics yet, but it's solid, stylish and practical, great for daily driving.

Finally two others worth a mention

mid-1970s Pontiac Firebird - nearly killed me. Good in a straight line, rubbish roadholding, slides round corners like melting ice-cream on a stove.
mid-2000s Toyota Land Cruiser - saved my life. Off-roading and exploring in the deserts of the Middle East, no other vehicle could have got me through and out of those dunes.

Can't understand why the image links in my post are not working. I used the "image" button when composing my post, and PFFCode is apparently on, and the pics are on the internet (on the Snapfish site, which is like photobucket) so the links should work....

What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: problem solved. It was a matter of copying the correct link for the image - I had to get "under the hood" of the website.

I had a 89 Cavalier Z-24 and a 87 GT both at the same time, both 5 speed's. Its impossible to tell by seat of the pants as their considerably different cars even if the engines and trans are essentially the same. But I think the Z-34 may have been a little faster, it was a little lighter. The Z-24 had almost 200,000 miles on it and ran real good. I've never compared road test 1/4 mile times but I bet it would beat most 3rd gen Camero's. I did put new spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, and air filter when I got it. It was completely reliable but failed smog once due to a leaky exhaust pipe to manifold connection.

Both of mine are automatics, and I would say the fiero is a little quicker, but it has a fresh rebuild on the motor. The Z has 180,000 (hard) miles and extra weight from the stereo to drag around.

Despite my advanced age(76), I have had very few cars over my lifetime especially when compared to others here. I like cars but I always seemed to hang onto my cars until they became maintenance hogs and then I'd sell. this list is in order of when I bought them(and I think you'll like the second one--I did)

1946 Ford V8 "Business Coupe (no back seat) I paid $150 or it--my first car

1957 Corvette with 283 engine and 270hp (wrecked and sold for parts in 1959 or early 1960)

1949 Chevy coupe

1950 Chevy 4dr

1955 Olds--a very good car in my estimation

1964 Chevy Bel Air

1964 Mustang

1968 Chevelle (my first new car)

1967 Datsun Ex wife's car

1971 Mercury Comet (second new car) Ex wife's car

1964 Mustang My car after divorce

1967 Pontiac Tempest inline 6

1970 Sabaru (bought in Okinawa from a wrecking yard)

1971 Dodge pickup

1964 Chevy Bel Air (bought back from my Mom)

1985 Opel sedan--not exported to the US. Used in Germany while employed there
1982 German Ford for my wife to use in Germany

1993 Olds Cutlass Ciera
1953 Chevy pickup for me to drive

1988 Buick Le Sabre for me

2003 Chevy TrailBlazer for wife
1984 Fiero with 3800SC for me (still for sale $2000)

2008 Pontiac Grand Prix for me
1989 Chevy 1500 pickup

After looking at the list, I suppose I have had more than I thought but I spent nearly 18 years overseas in the Army and nearly nine years in Germany after the Army so I still have far to go to catch up with some folks here.

Most of them all together, some are possible Shipman show attendees. The '85 Jetta (not the '91 Jetta) is hard to see.

This is missing five or six cars... but it's pretty complete!

Missing stuff includes a '79 Cougar, '84 Saab 900T, '82 Alfa GTV6, '87 Suburban, '92 Mazda Protege, an '84 325e, a grey '88 SPG, a '94 Benz E320 and a handful of cars that were bought exclusively to part out. Oh, and a motorhome I just bought. Heh.

Let's see if I can remember them all....

67 Mustang convertible, 289 3 speed manual. Was my dad's car, but he let me drive it whenever I wanted...it was my high school car.

70 Mach 1, 351 Cleveland automatic. My first car.

65 Mustang hardtop, K Code 289 Hipo 4 speed. Bought this car for $400. Painted it like a 66 Shelby GT350.

69 Shelby GT 350. Had this car 1 week, got run off the Interstate and rolled it. Took a year to rebuild it, and about 6 months to sell it.

66 Volkswagen Beetle. Wife's car...cost all of $200.

67 Volkswagen Beetle. Flared fiberglass fenders with slotted aluminum wheels, custom blue paint.

70 Mustang Boss 302. Bought this car with a freshly rebuilt engine for $2200. Flew from Denver to Pennsylvania, bought the car, and drove it back to Colorado all in one weekend.

79 Pontiac Trans Am. WS6 suspension, 4 speed, but it only had a 301 V8. Still, it was surprising how well that little V8 pulled that car around. Sold it because I hardly ever drove it.

83 Toyota SR5 4X4 pickup. A replacement for the Trans Am. Nice truck, but buying it was a mistake.

76 Triumph TR7. The wife's car. A lot of fun, but a headache when it came to fixing it. Lots of gremlins.

67 Shelby GT 350. Bought it as a restoration project for my dad and I. Lost interest when my dad passed on, and it sat in my garage for 11 years until I sold it to buy a new boat.

Ford Fiesta. Don't remember the year...wife's car.

68 Ford Ranchero. Interesting vehicle, but this one was a real beater

84 Olds Firenza. The wife's car.

84 Mustang GT 302 4 speed. A fun car to drive, but the tires for the TRX suspension were a pain to find, and expensive when you did find them.

76 Chevy Silverado 4X4 pickup.

79 Ford Bronco II, Eddie Bauer trim package. I drove the wheels off of that truck.

94 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. Bought this one brand new...the wife's car again. After we bought the TSX, this became my daily driver. Put 226,000 miles on it, and owned it 21 years before I finally sold it.

86 Dodge Shelby Charger Turbo. A true tin can POS, but it ran hard with that 2.2 turbo 4 cylinder engine.

99 Ford F150 4X4 pickup, shortbox/stepside, Lariet trim package. A NICE truck. I should have kept it.

86 Fiero SE. V6 5 speed, my son's first car.

86 Fiero GT. V6 4 speed. MY car. Now a 3800 SC Series II engine with a 5 speed F23 transmission.

99 Mustang GT, 4.6 L automatic. Was my daily driver for several years, then sat in the garage while I drove the Grand Prix. Sold after 16 years of ownership.

2011 Acura TSX. Bought new...wife's car.

2010 Acura MDX Tech/Entertainment. My current daily driver. Bought this to replace the Grand Prix.

2007 Shelby GT Mustang. Not a GT350 or 500...those are built in totality by Ford. This one was shipped, brand new, to Shelby's facility in Vegas for modification. Fun toy.

I'm sure I've forgotten one or two, but that's the gist of it. I've also owned a few motorcycles, with an 82 Kawasaki LTD 1000 as my current ride, and have also owned a couple of boats.
