2001 Chrysler Sebring sedan, 2.7 dohc, 4 speed auto,
First my headlights, not a big issue and probably to vague to diagnose easily, but when I turn the car off and take the key out with the headlights on, then I turn the headlights off, the drl relay clicks on. Leaving the headlights on daytime running lights (high beams half brightness), until I either turn the ignition back on then off, or back into parking lights mode then off again.
My windshield wipers will intermittently (more often than not) stop functioning properly. If I select mist (only one wipe) it will only move if/when I hold the lever down, if I let go, the wipers will stop in whatever position they are in, and will stay there until I move them again. When on intermittent, the malfunction makes them go onto low for as long as it decides to last (random). Low and high speeds are unaffected, only intermediate and the single wipe functions. I already switched around the relays in the engine bay fuse box, between AC, hi/low, and intermittent relays, did nothing.
I signed up for the Chrysler forum, posted this there, and I must say, it doesn't hold a candle to Pennock's, disorganised, bad layout on a phone, and no one's replied yet haha. Here, if I have an issue with my Fiero, almost guaranteed to have the solution, or at least troubleshooting steps within the day, so I figured, why not try here too haha.

Try swapping the DRL relay with a similar relay from the same box (horn relay perhaps?). If the problem goes away, then you have a faulty relay (obviously).

My guess would be either the wiper motor park switch (inside the wiper motor assembly) is defective, or the wiper lever.
(Well, you got your answer on PFF! Not sure it is in any way helpful though )

Swapping relays did nothing, although the problem is no longer noticeable because I switched to LEDs that have a weird quirk that makes me with around the drl thing. When headlights are on low, then I turn them off (drl) they flash brilliantly for 1 second, then go to full high beams, then dim to the drl brightness (I think this is just the LEDs getting confused switching from low beam 12v to high beam 6v, and the capacitors draining, doesn't do it switching from high beams to drl), anyhow my parking spot is facing some windows, and I don't want to wake people up, so I turn the headlights off before turning into my driveway, hence they don't stay on after the ignition is off, anyhow, that's no problem now, just a quirk to know about haha.
You hit the nail on the head on the park switch though, after some more research, I discovered that sometimes (when functioning "normally") the wipers would park an inch to late (coming back up an inch after the very bottom of sweep), other times park at the bottom, found one other person with a similar symptom, and cleaning the switch fixed that, so the other day I opened all that up, sanded the contacts, cleaned the metallic trail worn in the plastic track, and loaded it up with dielectric grease, and the wipers are smoother than ever, and have yet to fail once, so that's good.
I have still not gotten any replies on the Chrysler forum, not even a "hello new idiot, use the search function" haha, nothing, PFF is great haha!

I was thinking, are you sure this isn't actually behavior as designed?

Well you made me curious, so I left them on in this state, and sat, and waited, and they did eventually turn off, so yes, it's a feature to provide light while you get into the house or whatever, I just imagined more normal time lengths like 30 seconds, instead of what seemed like several minutes (didn't time it, but I had time to dig around the globe box and find the owners manual, walk inside, discover my car doesn't have a key chip immobilizer, find the relevant chapter on the lights, and read some of it before the lights went out, the manual says 90 seconds, but it sure felt like longer, oh well, as long as they go out haha)
