Dang. I just spent the past half an hour looking. Nothing. Sorry. I used everything that I could to try and find the song/artist. It is just not to be found. I was even doing this for free. No reward.
Thanks for trying Tony. I'm starting to wonder if it's some rare b-side or unreleased track? Sounds allot to me like Sugar Ray and "Personal Space Invader" and this mystery song came out in the late 90's when Sugar Ray was at their best but it doesn't match any of their songs.

Yes, no and I don't need the $20. Listen to other very early Pearl Jam stuff (the even earlier Bad Radio ... Vedder before PJ) and you'll hear the difference between that and now. I don't know the name of the song. I'll listen to my Pearl Jam collection today while I'm working in the garage and see if I hear the song. It might not even be when he was with Pearl Jam. Could have been closer to the Bad Radio days.

That would be awesome if you could take the time to listen and identify for me If you won't take a cash reward please remember me the next time you need a Fiero part. I still have lots of them.
Pretty good song! Never heard it before but now I'd like to find out who it is and add it to my music collection. I did some searching and came to the realization that the only person on the entire interwebs that knows anything about this song is.... you.
Sounds like mid 90's Seattle grunge to me like early Weezer or Our lady Peace I will ask my cousin he is a Audio Engineer at a studio in Seattle He would prob know. If you like that kind of music check out his band Broken theremin also from Seattle his last album was Hiding Under the Covers its weird but within that genre.
Edit: I just messaged him, the guys at DTS are working on it just might get lucky!

I forgot to "subscribe to topic" and I'm just checking this thread now since my last reply so thanks a bunch everyone above for listening and trying to identify. I have a 30GB Zune and I have around 10,000 songs on it with all the correct albums, song titles & genres. It sucks that I have just this one with no info and I had to give it this for the album cover

edit: it does sound simillar to eddie vedder meets weezer but i dont think so. i think this is a home town band made a one song hit and made it to the radio... never went farther

I got excited when I received the e-mail that I had a reply to this topic. Thanks for listening and you're likely right about some random garage band. It made enough popularity to be played on MusicChoice though. Looks like I'll be taking this one to the grave

Nah, not with the internet being the way it is... The answer may very well come to YOU!
I keep being drawn back to Superdrag... there are many elements about the song that make me think of them. However I can't seem to place what album it would be, and there are some LPs/EPs/early recordings I don't have that may contain the answer.
Course on the other hand I could just be wrong too.

The time era matches. I'll investigate....thank-you

After listening to some of their songs I'm convinced this is Superdrag or a group with Sam Powers at vocals. Does anyone own the Superdrag CD "Changin' Tires on the Road to Ruin"? It contains b-sides & rarities and there's a few songs that match the length of this mystery song but there's no way of listening without purchasing. Marc

I have "Changing Tires"and unfortunately I can tell you that is not on that CD. Now for a curveball; I was listening to a Superdrag station on Pandora, and it played a song by Sloan that also sounded very similar.

As a product of the 90's and a HUGE fan of Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder I can tell you it's not him, nor is it Kurt Cobain. It's not Super Drag or even close to Weezer. If you can't find the lyrics online then it was probably some local band. Many radio and television shows, especially in the 90's, would play local band's stuff. In fact, many alternative stations still play local band songs. It's quite catchy, but it doesn't sound like it's a licensed song, or one that was made in a studio, at least not a big studio. My brother and my wife are both muscians and this singer actually sounds like my brother, but it's not, and neither my wife nor my brother recognize this band. I'm sure if you keep at it someone will know the answer, but I'm sure te answer won't be any mainstream band like Perl Jam, Weezer, Nirvana, or Super Drag. Good luck with the search.

I believe you hit the nail square on the head. Thanks for passing it around. Maybe someday....
