To the Fabricators on the Forum, I'm looking for your help on a small job for my business. I'm returning to my roots as a cleaning formulation designer and am firing up an antique scrub tester where I can test soiled ceramic tiles. What I need fabricated is a shallow, stainless steel tray to hold the test run-off from the formulations (most will contain 3-5% chlorine bleach) and then some rinse water. Please see below for a picture of the set up and a diagram of the tray and then send me a PM for what you would charge. Thank you!

If you haven't already -- just in case they don't check this forum, I would say it's definitely worth reaching out to Will and FieroGuru. I believe they both have all the equipment to make that. I know they are both busy, but this doesn't look like a time consuming project - just limited by needing specific equipment.

I received your PM. Thanks for thinking of me!

Is this a business or a hobby?
I imagine if you're running a business, your needs will change over time and you'll want to modify, expand or enhance the capabilities of your test apparatus. To that end, you're better off finding a local sheet metal shop that will do small jobs like this, and establishing a business relationship with them. Then you can just... go there when you need updates to your apparatus. It would be a heck of a lot more expeditious from a business standpoint to work with a local vendor on this.

Edit: I searched google maps for "sheet metal fabrication temecula, ca" and saw at least a dozen results. Some of those will be HVAC shops, but some also looked like hot rod/chassis fabrication outfits. There's gotta be one of those who likes small jobs for a few extra $$$.

Edit 2: For example... do you want to add a drain fitting to your tray? Easy to have a local shop do that

Thanks for the contacts everybody. I did take Will's advise and find a local shop to do the job. But I also now have some back-up contacts for future work so I'm all set.
