When the larvae reach the optimal stage for harvesting, they are harvested. I think maybe they could be "snuffed out" (suffocated) with carbon dioxide, or maybe ethylene. Why are the the power hungry elitists picking on Africans? Always wanting to do EXPERIMENTS on them.... And then you bring up gas chambers. Hmmm. Gates/Soros/WHO loves to experiment on them. Wasn't there some group of people in the not so distant past who supposedly did the same thing? At least now I know more about ChatRI and it's true state of mind.

Then they are (and I'm being speculative) dried and ground up into flour. A finely granulated powder, white or brown, no "icky" odor... packaged and sold like wheat flour, using suitably anodyne branding and labeling. Maybe it's sold as "Mini-stock Flour". Of course it says "black soldier fly larvae (Hermetia illucens)", but that's only in small print for the Ingredients. There need be no picturing on the package of the larvae themselves or of the Soldier Fly's adult form.

An "edgy" retailer might want to take another approach. Create some cartoon-stylized Soldier Fly larva or adult Soldier Fly "character" that appeals to children.
Why stop there? How about a BLACK Soldier Fly with pink hair, blue eye shadow, and pink lipstick wearing a strap on reading the ingredients while shaking their booties? That there is a great cabal advertisement to YOUR liking.

This flour (I'm being speculative) is a natural for making bread, or for using in any of the same ways as wheat flour. It's very economical to produce. The climate impact (carbon footprint) is very small, compared to producing a comparable amount of human nutrition using more traditional kinds of ranching and farming. It's very competitive, price-wise, at the retail level. It's easy to ship and distribute. What's not to like?
Reminds me of leftist good for nothings promoting HEMP. "The possibilities are endless" they say in order to get to their true goal of total cannabis legalization and a dumb drugged out world population for control....

Why shouldn't it be considered, as a food source for humans that works well in the Net Zero (reduced carbon emissions) framework that's being strongly advised for humanity by so many credentialed and well regarded climate researchers and other subject matter experts?
Until THEY do/eat what they promote, they're full of sh!t, Like you... Lead by the great example instead of good for you not for me attitude.

Graduate designer Katharina Unger has designed a table-top insect breeding farm that allows people to produce edible fly larvae in their homes.
"Farm 432 enables people to turn against the dysfunctional system of current meat production by growing their own protein source," said Unger.

Unger completed the project whilst studying Industrial Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, and was taught by Hartmut Esslinger of Frog and Fiona Raby of Dunne & Raby.
"Fortification of wheat flour with black soldier fly prepupae. Evaluation of technological and nutritional parameters of the intermediate doughs and final baked products"
Abstract
quote
Bread wheat flour presents specific nutrient deficiencies, such as some essential amino acids and this drawback could be tackled by adding ingredients that contain them in high amounts. Therefore, this study aims at developing new types of flours as well as at analysing enriched flours and baked derived products, which combine the compositional and sensory characteristics of wheat bread with some peculiar nutritional properties of black soldier fly prepupae (Hermetia illucens). These composite flours were obtained by mixing “Italian type 1” semi-whole wheat flour (W = 300) with flour obtained from prepupae of black soldier fly (20 g and 40 g/1 kg composite flour). Chemical, physical, and rheological analyses were carried out for each of the flour mixtures. Moisture, ash, gluten, total protein content, falling number, strength, tenacity, extensibility, amino acid profile of doughs and breads were analysed as well. An increase in the content of essential amino acids in doughs and baked products was obtained and also led to an improvement in bread texture.

Pause at five seconds. What you just watched is a different way to [obtain] conditions needed for fusion. The hard part has always been getting the atoms close enough to merge. This machine, by Helion, slams two rings of plasma together like clapping a pair of hands. Except a lot faster. Then, they say, they pull electricity out using the same coils they contain the plasma with.
Comment from "Welshdog"

Most other fusion reactors are just that, reactors that generate heat which must then be converted to steam to drive a turbine and generator. Helion's method does away with all that and just makes electricity directly from the expanding plasma interacting with the magnets around the fusion chamber.

I am sure. Like all kids, parental supervision is needed.
I don't know why you bother to hyper-link the youtube videos which cause you to fantasize. Do you really think we might look at them, with your track record, ?
Your ilk has already taken from us, at wallet point, 50 trillion dollars. You should put your foot on our neck and take much much more. Beware ! Our money runs out if we can not make a living. If we can not charge our EVs. All of us who live in the southern states want air conditioning.
The reason you should put your foot on our neck and take much much more ? Our money, and yours, will soon run out. Ironically, because, your electric, what's his preferred pro-noun, ? Pirate ? Buccaneer ? Why ? Because he wants to turn our electric producing coal mines into, ... wind farms ? ! Think rinselberg, think. Have you ever seen a coal mine on flat land, or flat ocean ?
There is another very important reason why you should put your foot on our neck and take much much more. Brandon is going to end you availability to coal powered electricity by 2038. King Brandon, said he will shut down all coal mines, his term was "be retired", by 2038, if they emit more than 80% o the emissions than they do now. Your wind mills, ... are going to up their scam/game.
This new, 3-minute report from KCAL News is a glimpse into a proposal to create a 400-acre wind turbine manufacturing facility at the Port of Long Beach, to "turbocharge" the development of offshore floating wind energy as a major power source for California.
Think of it as a "Slice of Life"-style, Reality Show-style, video-style vignette from the era of climate change.

A proposal ? From the State of Krazyfornia ? The same State which was never a "slave state" but wants to award reparations of two million dollars to all blacks ? The same State which wants to give illegal aliens $300.00 a week ?
The same State, the only State which has yearly rolling electrical brown and black outs ? The same State whose electrical grid is always pervious and crippled by wildfires, (which they can prevent but do not) ?
The Greta Thunberg National Center for Wind Energy Excellence, which will be adjacent to the new Floating Offshore Wind Energy manufacturing facility at the Port of Long Beach, could become the only things about California that "cliffw" approves of.
(I"m being speculative.)

Remind me, how big was their state budget shortfall this fiscal year?
It would take a combination of federal, state (California) and private sector funding to provide the nearly $5 billion investment to make this proposal for the Port of Long Beach a reality.
There could be floating offshore wind energy development along the Gulf Coast, and even on Lake Michigan. You see (or you could see, if you looked) research about how floating offshore wind energy platforms and turbines could be designed to be more hurricane-resistant—obviously a particular concern for the Gulf Coast. I've seen a reference "here and there" to developing offshore wind energy from Lake Michigan.
The "cliffw" and the "olejoedad" have their attitudes, but Big Wind isn't asking for their permission. Big Wind says "Deal with me."

I think it is very appropriate that you are a proponent of 'Big Wind'......🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see Big (Floating Offshore) Wind as very possibly, part of the solution.
I have the text of this "Pier Wind" proposal that's been published by the Port of Long Beach. As you can imagine, it talks to new job opportunities and new ways for the Port of Long Beach and the state of California to "revenue" from a burgeoning floating offshore wind energy development sector.
At this point, I can't speculate about how the nearly $5 billion of investment funding could be apportioned from federal, state (California) and private sector funding.

You can't say it's because the state of California invested in a nearly $5 billion project to build a Floating Offshore Wind Energy manufacturing facility.

That hasn't been done—yet.
Maybe they should tax all those rich people.
Someone told me that it would fix all of their problems.
Did I already post this "dos minutos" video presentation from the Port of Long Beach for the proposed Pier Wind offshore wind energy manufacturing center? "Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I kind'a lost track myself..." It's a very professionally produced video "sales brochure" that has all the bullet points you'd expect to see in a PowerPoint-style slideshow presentation. It delivers seamlessly integrated and always on point visuals with a subtly nuanced musical accompaniment to the carefully enunciated and very listenable English language narration. Selecting the YouTube Closed Captioning option adds a dash of heightened clarity to the mix. If you have a desktop-sized video display, selecting the Full Screen format is a "must".

Welcome to Pier Wind, the Port of Long Beach's proposal to develop the largest facility specifically designed to accommodate the assembly of offshore wind turbines in the United States.
The proposed facility would span up to 400 acres of newly built land, located southwest of the Long Beach International Gateway Bridge within the Harbor District.
The proposed terminal includes heavy-lift wharves supporting large cranes to receive and handle large offshore wind components and construct the world’s largest floating offshore wind turbine systems.
With its highly skilled and diversified local workforce, Long Beach offers the ideal location for Pier Wind, which would generate new jobs in maritime operations, manufacturing and construction.
When completed, the fully assembled floating wind turbines would be towed by sea from the Port of Long Beach to the offshore wind farms located more than 20 miles from the coast in federal waters in Central and Northern California, where the wind is consistently strong.
Pier Wind holds the key to meeting California’s goal of producing 25 gigawatts of offshore wind power by 2045 and helping the state deliver renewable energy sources for zero-emissions technologies coming online at the Port of Long Beach and elsewhere.
A conceptual design and assessment is scheduled for completion in 2023 as the Port seeks funding from state and federal sources to support Pier Wind.
OK... I've been "funning". I'm not in any position to predict that this Pier Wind proposal will go forward in as big a way or on as aggressive of a timeline that they are talking about in this proposal from the Port of Long Beach. It's a lot to chew on. There's clearly "upfront" planet-warming carbon emissions that would result from creating this facility and then manufacturing and deploying a large enough number of offshore floating wind turbines to operate over a long enough period of time to be able to achieve a "net zero" carbon emissions balance for all of the energy that would eventually be generated.
It's the carbon emissions and other metrics that would speak the truth. And these are not perfectly straightforward metrics to quantify.

My my. You are a persistent rabid Global Warming Quidnunc.
Believe me, take it to the bank, no one knows if you posted that dribble. No one looks at your sources of indoctrination.

No link ?
Is Big Wind full of wind ? Have you been an oil and gas industry floor man, roughneck, driller and driller assistant, roustabout, crane operator, barge engineer, rig mechanic, rig electrician, rig welder, subsea engineer or welder, captain, medic, geologist, and or tool pusher ?.
My career gave me experience in many of those areas. I considered employment with Big Wind. In assembly, operations, and maintenance. Qualified for all three. An apple is not an orange !

so the tower stays upright ? think about it ? location of faults in cal ?

Those with a little bit of knowledge preach about learning.
Sometimes, forward thinking pays dividends. Nah. Not sometimes. Always.
What happens when the ocean rises ? Are the "floating" offshore wind farms going to become free floating ? Stretching the needed infrastructure wiring.
