None of my Democrat friends have any intention of watching it... I might watch it... but I expect for him to basically attack Republicans as racist and radical... and then somehow say he's trying to unite the country.
I didn't much like Obama, but I listened to every word he said, if I could. We need to know where the enemy thinks he stands. We need to understand his mindset, per se. We can't use his words against him, if we don't hear them. Do we want to rely on media to tell us what he told the Nation ?
I'm hoping that Kevin McCarthy will "one up" Pelosi and tie a copy of Dementia Joe's speech to a white helium balloon and let it float off into the House chamber on camera.

Well, that was interesting. At times hilarious, . It will take me some time to internalize.

That beats my idea. I was fantasizing that Kevin made paper airplanes from each page and was throwing them at dumbocrats, through out the "address".
He wants government (that's you and me) to pay for daycare and keep kids in school for 14 years. That is to say, government indoctrination from cradle to adulthood, no parental responsibility.
He wants the federal government to control wages and prices, promising that the "rich" will foot the bill.
He wants to ban guns (he described a pistol as an assault weapon) and mandate union membership. He believes that burger flippers are bound by non-compete contracts.
He wants police to go to reeducation.

Just about 10 days ago I posted a thread about a CNN reporter who "spanked" Joe Biden over some false and misleading claims from Biden about the nation's economy.
I think they are saying that Biden was mostly factual, and only strayed from the facts on a smaller number of occasions in the speech.
It's easy to scroll through and just zero in on the distinctive visual format of the Fact Checks.
You don't have to scroll down very far to find the first Fact Check. Once you've seen that, you have familiarized yourself with the distinctive visual format or "optical signature" of each of the subsequent Fact Checks, so you can program your mind to look for it as you rapidly scroll through the remainder of the transcript.
As you encounter each Fact Check, you will see the words "Facts First", in enlarged and bolded text, and puncuated with a white checkmark symbol or "✓" that stands out against a red background. Both the fact checks and the more numerous annotations are indented, relative to the speech itself, and are set off with a pale gray background that distinguishes this text from the text of the speech itself.
An annotation is delineated with a yellow vertical bar, whereas a Fact Check has a blue vertical bar.
"Scroll with confidence."

The con, the grifter pretendadent blarneys the planet, again. That's the thing about global war, unforgiving of blathering imbeciles. A bent guy, suborned by his masters, who have a firm grip of his scroat, his idiot son the addict, too. Plain to see his intent, a submissive capitulation to foreign interests, until his final croaking. ' fjb, toss that sheet overboard, as just so much stinkin chum. ' See, he's rotten in the head, a sour worm, a twisted noodle, you can determine that from the lies he feels compelled to announce.
' He's so... pathetic. ' fjb, and any other sucker that bought that scam. ffs, somebody, end this clown act three ring circus. Maybe, get one of the Elephants to take a dump on his parade. Then, Biden_Joe back doing what he was designed to do, like, with the shovel.
But for the thinking clientele, what I said before bears repeating:
Just over 10 days ago I posted a thread about a CNN reporter who "spanked" Joe Biden over some false and misleading claims from Biden about the nation's economy.
Originally posted by randye: Nobody really cared then and, unsurprisingly, they still don't.
How would anybody know whether you cared or not? All you ever say here is "Leftist, leftist, leftist, leftist ..." It's remarkable what you will say here to insulate yourself from reality.
I only wonder if you were always like this, or if this is how you are when you turn away from this forum and engage in some other facet of existence.
I have been singled out (accurately) as the only person who has made a connection to Trump in this thread.
Let me take this moment to clarify how and why I did that, because, in all the smoke and fire (so to speak) of a contentious discussion of this kind, significant aspects of the situation can easily be overlooked. As all too often, I dare say, they are overlooked.
Consider that moment, and review it by counting 9 Reply messages or "posts" or 10 messages in all from the beginning of this discussion. You may also "autoscroll" with this link, although I'm not sure how reliably that works: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/.../HTML/000591.html#p9
You can even count backwards to find 8 messages before this one. You know you are there when you see the opening words of "Just about 10 days ago..."
And so I began:
Just about 10 days ago I posted a thread about a CNN reporter who "spanked" Joe Biden over some false and misleading claims from Biden about the nation's economy.
I am linking to that other thread that I created before this one.
Why "Trump"..?
I am talking about a CNN reporter who, after having made quite a name for himself with his long-running and voluminous "fact-checks" of things that Donald Trump said or tweeted, has gone on to do the same for President Biden. It could be said that Daniel Dale, having engaged in a four-year "beatdown" of President Trump on the fact-checking score, has just "spanked" President Biden in much the same way.
Does this undermine the idea that the media is intrinsically and reliably "leftist"..? That's a constant background noise on this forum, not unlike the omnipresent chirping of crickets during their mating season. That the media is "leftist".
That's a question you need answer for yourself. If you think it's just an insignificant "one off" or the "exception that proves the rule", then so be it. But I think you would be kidding yourself, in that regard.
I brought this up to frame my presentation of what I think is a very worthwhile examination of President Biden's State of the Union Address from two other CNN reporters.
If you are interested, or concerned, or worked up in some way about President Biden's SOTU, I recommend this article, which provides a full transcript of the SOTU, with annotations and fact-checks of things that were said in the SOTU, deftly interwoven with the transcript of the SOTU.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you are interested, or concerned, or worked up in some way about President Biden's SOTU, I recommend this article, which provides a full transcript of the SOTU, with annotations and fact-checks of things that were said in the SOTU, deftly interwoven with the transcript of the SOTU.

It's common for people on this forum to "talk the talk". I like to post online information and references to help them "walk the walk".
Whatever. Jobs that went AWAY came back, you and Brandon claim them new. Complete bullsh!t. Just keep rewording things and changing definitions. Putting solid sh!t in a ninja bullet and calling the result diarrhea, doesn't make it diarrhea.
Tell us, R.I. bot of the cabal, how many jobs were "created" last month? And how many were LOST? Oh yeah. You typed with your forked tongue tucked away. Spewing half truths as the full truth.
The left and their magical mystery tour keeps going thanks to lone bs picasso's like yourself.
Biden’s number is accurate: the US economy added 12.1 million jobs between Biden’s first full month in office, February 2021, and January 2023. That number is indeed higher than the number of jobs added in any previous four-year presidential term. However, it’s important to note that Biden took office in an unusual pandemic context that makes meaningful comparison to other periods very difficult.
After that came "READ MORE". A link. The link adds this:
quote
Biden became president less than a year after the economy shed nearly 22 million jobs over two months, March and April 2020, because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The jobs recovery then began immediately after that, under then-President Donald Trump, but there was still an unprecedented hole to fill when Biden took office.
Biden is free to argue that his stimulus legislation and other policies have helped the country gain jobs faster than it otherwise would have. (As always, it’s debatable precisely how much credit the president deserves for job-creation.) Nonetheless, it is clear that there could only be such an extraordinary number of jobs added in 2021 and 2022 because there was such an extraordinary number of jobs lost in early 2020.
The majority weren't new jobs. What are you gonna say/post next? That everyone got wage increases? Household income has gone up? Nothing was really created, bot. Smoke and mirrors. Nothing is recovering.
Once again, putting solid sh!t in a ninja bullet and calling the result diarrhea, doesn't make it diarrhea.
What jobs have these 10+ million border jumpers got? Surely there's a database you've got access to. CNN have the legit list, similar to the deceased who've become permanent demonicRAT voters?

Nationalists in China and rightwing figures in the U.S. are taking to social media to fuel conspiracy theories that the media and the government are trying to use UFOs to distract from a potential environmental disaster in Ohio.
As news of unidentified flying objects and alleged Chinese surveillance balloons dominate headlines in the U.S., users on Weibo—China's version of Twitter—are obsessed with the Feb. 3 derailment of a 50-car train near the Ohio town of East Palestine, which resulted in a massive chemical blaze and a "controlled release" of a toxic plume, forcing evacuations and concerns from residents about air and water safety.
As of Monday, posts with the hashtag "Ohio" had received over 83 million views on Weibo, and the topic trended between #1 and #2 on its "hot search list" index.
While many Chinese social media users were simply expressing disbelief at the extent of the Ohio disaster, some popular nationalistic accounts suggested that the U.S. government and media had been pushing UFO and balloon updates to cover up the situation in Ohio, mirroring some prominent right-wing figures in the U.S., including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
