but an opportunity to bet a few thousands and make bank

btw euro future rules are a bit better
you never have to take and sell the oil at the end like an USA contract
and they just pay or bill you the difference at the expo date
but the smart play is cash it in before the end date here or there

...and Saudi just announced another production cut.

The next swing may be soon since Saudi Arabia just announced that they would reduce production by 1,000,000 barrels per day.
