This could finally be the turning point where civilized people around the world stand up and say: No Mas! We have had enough and will no longer accept excuses for childish behavior. We can distinguish between right and wrong and will not accept wrong. This is not a matter of opinion.
Or this could be the tipping point that plunges us into a global conflagration.
I am not going to say “WWIII” or “Nazi”, but we have been here before. The question is: Did we learn anything?
I believe all of human civilization is in the balance. No this is not hyperbole.
The founder and CEO liked to say that. I was acquainted with him, because I was employed by that company for a number of years.
This is very optimistic, but this could be an opening for the world's most famous "bone saw assassin" to put something more universally likable on his resume than the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.
I speak, of course, of MBS.
How will Gaza be governed, after the smoke of the Israeli invasion has cleared?
Could a new Gaza arise from the ashes? And could there be a role for an International Gaza Stabilization Force (IGSF) and interim government, backed by soldiers, police, technicians and administrators drawn from various Muslim-majority nations around the world? Saudi Arabia? Egypt? Jordan? UAE? Qatar? Turkey? Pakistan? Indonesia? Are there other countries that come to mind? Perhaps under the aegis of a "refurbished" Palestinian Authority?

Lets hope not by terrorists.
Everyone needs to stop looking at the world like its 1970 Disney and realize these animals have been in front of us the entire time. They won't lie if you ask them, lives mean nothing to them. If this does not wake up some people then I do not know what will. Lets just hope this kind of war doesn't visit a music festival near us.
China invades Taiwan in an amphibious landing, paratroopers hold a beachhead, in two weeks. Threatens nukes. North Korea's Kim invades Seoul again, in a surprise infantry assault, three weeks. Threatens nukes. Five million Hamas/Blm insurgents assault military installations across the US, in December. Threatens nukes. Russian armored punch west to Poland, Ukraine overrun, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania captured again, New Year. Threatens nukes. Israel annexes Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, in February, the UN freaks, Tehran is then mysteriously nuked. Ben holds his hands out, palms up, shrugs ' We don't know who did it ! ' The planet lights up in a global nuke war, causing the high altitude dust to obscure the Sun. Temperatures drop, starting an ice age. Biden_Joe utters some more insane nonsense, another blarney. So, yeah, you'll have to fight on your own soil to defend the Constitution, the Founding Documents, if you are to prevail in the 21st Century. What you believe in will make the difference, this is a war easily lost. .. ' If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case: you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves. ' ~ Winston Churchill You will have to fight for peace, as in Israel.

CNN: 'More than a hundred bodies including decapitated babies found in Israeli Kibbutz Be'eri'
More than a hundred bodies have been found in the Israeli Kibbutz Be'eri after last Saturday's surprise Hamas attack. The situation was said to have been horrific. Bodies of babies who had been decapitated were found, several media reported. Several families have also been overwhelmed in their sleep and murdered in bed.
I have looked at far more than I should have. Seen pictures as well as video before some of it was taken down. This was an act of terrorism, not defiance, not a call for liberty and most certainly not a demonstration for liberation.
They will hide behind any flag, any book and any idea that will further there idea of what they think life should be. Killing people that disagree is in the book they hide behind, hiding behind flags of nations that want the same thing.
I question the goal or intent behind this. This kind of behavior is very common with ideological terrorism. We saw this same kind of thing with bombings in Afghanistan. Driven entirely by religious zeal, they actually "hate" the people they're killing. You and I would look at a baby and... regardless of where he or she comes from or what religion he / she is born into, we see it as a human being. These people, through ideology have allowed themselves to believe that Jewish people are pure evil. So when they look at a nursery full of babies, they see a room full of cockroaches. Judaism aside... it's the same kind of mentality that the human mind goes through in situations similar to the holocaust. The atrocities that people are capable of, know no boundaries when they've convinced themselves that they're better than someone else.
To a more frank point... they clearly aren't thinking. Did they think that this kind of terrorism would lead to increased support? Obviously, they're not thinking because they're driven by ideological zeal... and most of them are horribly uneducated too, so they don't even think of the global impact of their actions. Honestly... when terrorists do things like this... I have a really hard time not wanting to see Gaza turned into a parking lot, and becoming new land for Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (on the right) seems to be looking askance at former Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz. Netanyahu's line of sight is not direct, but passes through a "wormhole" in the cosmos that connects far apart regions of the universe to one another, as if the staggering distances that separate them were inexplicably erased.
Obviously, that was just some jive, but Israel has a new "national unity" government. Former Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz, who is described as a "centrist," is expected to have a major role.

Many people would describe the two people in that photograph as having a "leftist" vibe about them, in terms of Israel, Palestine and the Middle East.
Wichita's spectacularly uninformed ruminations about "leftists" put me in mind of what Nikki Haley said recently, about another Republican candidate, that more or less went viral:
quote
Every time I read a post from Wichita, I feel a little bit dumber.
Lest anyone forget, it was Wichita—quite some time ago and more or less "out of the blue"—who tried to inflate the single word "leftist" to make it cover all of the different kinds of Nazi sympathizers in the U.S. during the 1930s. That's something he clearly knows nothing about.
Whatever institution granted his college degree ought to issue a recall.

Respectfully, Rinse... "leftist" is the term used as an antonym for the "alt-right." So a "leftist" is someone who is on the radical left.
And Wichita is not incorrect... during the 1930s, the radical left did in fact support the NAZIs.
This was a pro-NAZI rally that was held in NYC's Madison Square Garden back in 1939. At the time, NYC was a very mixed city that had both Republicans and Democrats. But this rally was in particular, attended by people who were members of the radical left. The rally spoke in support of Jim Crowe laws, antisemitism, etc. Today... the radical left are still antisemitic... as you know. This is something that is squarely on the left, not on the right.
When you look at racism and bigotry, it's not really a sliding scale, but actually a doughnut if you will. The top of the doughnut is dictatorship, while the bottom of the doughnut is the most ideal place we can be... where everyone generally agrees almost unanimously with slight deviation on how to achieve the same goals. When the pendulum "swings" it swings up the left side of the doughnut, or up the right side of the doughnut. And just like when a kid plays on the swing and gets too high up, eventually he or she will fall off and get hurt.
You can't describe all of the Americans who were Nazi sympathizers during the 1930s as "leftists," and that's what Wichita was trying to do.
There were Republican members of Congress, as well as Democrats, who were doing favors for Germany's Nazis during the 1930s.
Rachel Maddow has an interesting podcast about that. It's called "ULTRA." (Without the period at the end. It goes against my instincts, put I put the period that ends the sentence before the closing quotation mark.)

But Rinse... again, I'm not trying to be a jerk about this. But the overwhelming vast majority of NAZI sympathizers in the 1930s were in fact, left-leaning. Of course... that does not mean that everyone on the left was a NAZI supporter, or even a sizeable number on the left were left-leaning. But yes... almost all of the NAZI sympathizers at the time were Democrats.
Everyone from Henry Ford (who ran for office as a Democrat) to Margaret Sanger who absolutely supported Aryan ideology. Even FDR... who eventually got involved in the war... refused to alter immigration quotas that would have allowed the Jews fleeing Germany to come to the United States. Instead, they all had to flee to Russia, Israel, etc.
So look Rinse... again... you are an individual. You are not wedded to your party, even if most of the concepts you currently support are Democrat. That is not YOUR history... and you don't have to defend it, even if you support Democrats today.

Neither Wichita (or randye) have ever reserved the term "leftist" for just the radical left.
Take fredtoast, for example. Is he a radical leftist?
Not by my standards.
Apparently, a number of people here regarded him as an annoying leftist, but is that the same as a radical leftist?
Focusing again on Wichita, he keeps going on about how people who want to curtail CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions are part of a "leftist " agenda.
Does that make them radical leftists? That translates into a very large number of radicals in the U.S. and around the world.
So I don't think that this definition of "leftist" that 82-T/A has provided, as the opposite of alt-right, matches the way that "leftist" is commonly used on this forum.

Just as people like Fredtoast view pretty much everyone on the right as "alt-right," there are many people on the left who view everyone on the left as a "leftist." To a greater extent, it's used as an insult... again, because people take what they see personally... and people will often attribute their politics directly to their identity as a person. It's like working in a career for a long time, and your job becomes "who" you are.
"Leftist" generally is in fact viewed as the direct antithesis of the "alt-right," but like I explained... at some point, both of these merge together. Both radical alt-right and radical leftists carry guns, commit crimes, and are bigoted. It goes full circle. You need to have a thicker skin.
Fred referred to me as a radical an untold number of times, and told me that I was so biased that I was unable to see anything. I disagree.
As for the environment... again... the truth is somewhere in the middle. There are people who genuinely care about the environment (which I think you are one of), and then there are those who know that they can take advantage of people like you... and use this concern to their advantage. The advantaged might be tax-payer funding towards a group that uses their money to directly lobby back Congress and fill election campaign coffers. Or, it could be to regulate an industry that directly advantages a particular competitor, country, or organization.
So... yes... there are many radical leftists that are exploiting the environment for personal gain... under the guise of helping it. I know this is not you... but there are many in power who are.
ask a neo-nazi where they see themself on left or right
none will describe them self as a leftist not a single one nor as a moderate not a single one they stand with skin heads and whitepower christian ID people all of whom are extreme rightwing in fact define what a exteme RWNJ is
I do not understand how you get that so wrong repeatedly except to try to deceive others

Radical leftists?
There's probably no single word or phrase that covers all of the people who are looking for ways to "milk" the global and national concerns about man-made climate change for their own personal advantage.
I don't think there's anything radical about that. "Gaming the system" is as "American as apple pie." I don't think you can turn that into just a "leftist" thing.

You're reaching Rinse... stop trying to defend it. I certainly never said the exploitation of environmental concern was the only example. There are many... everything from corn subsidy, to big pharma controlling the FDA by preventing other vaccines and drugs from getting approved because it affects the profits of another drug company. But to suggest (if you will) that this is somehow NOT happening with the environment is again, being obtuse and allowing yourself to focus on defending your ideology, rather than examining it.
There is a VERY good reason why 87% of green energy expenditure goes directly... I mean DIRECTLY to Chinese and CCP interests. This is by design... and is a perfect example of people who want to make a difference, being exploited by the politicians for the political gain of their financiers. And so we're clear... nearly 70% of sitting congress has financial ties to China. This is not like... Joe Bob from Illinois owns a mutual fund which holds stock in a Chinese-based iron company. No... this is where direct funding of their campaigns comes from Chinese finance-groups and financiers. And this is not just Democrats... this is Republicans (almost equally). To the point though, this is a left-leaning issue for the most part... perhaps a little misguided as I don't think the solutions they are proposing are actually solving the problems they think exist. But these specific proposals are directly funding China... and all of that is not unintentional. And, their Republican colleagues in the house and senate who are also on the dole, are at only to happy to support, or at a minimum, totally OK with remaining completely silent about it.
Hamas is a leftist terrorist group that garners a lot of support from leftist sympathizers in the West.
Leftist spur hate and division whenever and wherever they can.
Leftist do not want unity. They fume with anger and hate.
We will prevail over hate and the leftist ideology that tries to enslave and separate the people.

You have not struck me as a person who studies history seriously.
One question that needs to be asked: How many have crossed our southern border in the last couple of years?
Just think about it, it doesn't take an army, a few terrorist cells and any event, mall or a mega church. Remember how much carnage that was caused by a single gunman from a hotel room in Nevada at a Country Music Concert, just think about what a cell of suicidal terrorist could do. Or, what happens if some of those surface to air weapons we gifted to our friends in the middle east find their way across our border. Take down a few airliners with 250 to 300 souls on board. 8 million aliens have crossed and we don't know where most of them are. How many are really here for a better life or to take as many lives as possible. It won't be pretty when it happens, don't say you weren't warned.
Edited: Oh and BTW, as I predicted long ago when these toys first came out, drones have turned into some very deadly weapons.
