It's engaging in political discussion, whenever Patrick (or anyone else) disapproves of the opinions of conservatives.
Why are people trying to move the goalposts in this subtext, which started with an assertion that Patrick shows up in Political topics without himself engaging in political discussion?
These people are trying to move the goalposts so far and so frequently that they should be required to post copies of their Interstate Trucking licenses.
It's a travesty!

I think the constant "I am shocked by your views, and you are a horrible person" shtick gets tiring, and doesn't add value to the discussion. Because it was never intended to... it seems more like a natural defense for someone against information that is inconvenient to them, particularly about that which they either haven't thought about, or allowed themselves to think too much about. Either way, posts like that deserve to just be ignored because it it's not constructive, and only adds to the negativity of the discussion when it should otherwise be a debate of ideas. It's definitely not a set of goal posts, it's just clear that he doesn't have anything useful to add to the discussion, and instead would rather it stop because he doesn't like what's being discussed.

I think the constant "So and so has Asperger's and so and so's a mentally ill drug addict" shtick gets tiring...
The rest of your post applies perfectly to my comment as well.

It's like you were describing your own actions... but you'll never admit to it.

They don't like their little echo chamber being infiltrated by anyone with opposing view points. Look how you and Ray and any others who don't tow the party line are treated here. I admire your tenacity, I really do, but I honestly can't be bothered to waste my time trying to convince anyone of anything here. All the wailing and hand-wringing about my lack of participation in political discussion here is an absolute complete joke. Anyone who is complaining about my lack of participation is only upset that I don't allow myself (lately) to get drawn into l-o-n-g fruitless arguments for which there is no resolution.
Hey, did anybody know that Argentina just elected a new Conservative/Libertarian president? Somebody ought to start a thread.
LOL!
It might actually spell good news for us... the new President wants to convert to the USD. Personally, it would be the last currency that I'd want to switch to (if I wasn't an American and had American pride). But the peso and Argentina's economy is so in the dumps, it's actually worse than the U.S. because it's effectively been under socialism for so long.

Are you daft ? We just report an observation. Who said he had to participate ? What goal posts were moved ?

I don't think anyone will ever go to the Russian Rubles, but for China... their desire is to make the Yuan the world reserve currency. If at any point they can accomplish that... it would spell disaster for us. I don't think it's reasonable that this happens... but we are certainly not doing a good job of protecting our own currency. No matter what your political ideology is... we need to slash spending dramatically, eliminate tax cuts across the board, and increase taxes if we're going to survive as a nation... and that's not my opinion. That is literally how the numbers add up.
I have never sent a topic into an endless spiral !
Ya, right... so sayeth the Master of Spin. Whenever I see your endless string of convoluted comments and queries in a devolving thread, this is how I picture you...

Here is a more detailed video about what is going on. One thing I find amusing is how he handled the "protesters". The protesters protest for more social benefits. They block roads and shut down the whole country every two years until they get concessions. Milei threatened to remove benefits from anyone blocking roads. The protests ended immediately.
