If you didn't want to go to it, it's an X post from Walz that shows him tinkering on his 1979 IH Scout. He basically tells you that he's going to show you how to fix the cruise control in his Scout. While he's supposedly "working" on his car, he tells you about how bad Trump and Vance are. There's a particular comment in there that he makes that really irks me... he says, "You won't see Trump or Vance working on their car like this, because they'd just pay someone to do it for them..." Remember that line...
So in reality... Walz doesn't actually fix the cruise control at all. He disconnects the throttle linkage, says some stuff about the cruise diaphragm (though he doesn't refer to it and doesn't know what it's called), and then removes the air filter, shakes it around a bit, and puts it back... saying, "keep your air filter clean." All the while, at no point does he actually fix the cruise control... and in the process of trying to be technical, they actually splice his video, hoping you don't notice. It's clear they'd taken several cuts and tried to make 1 good one... probably because he screwed up since he didn't know what he was doing (even though he never actually did anything).
So remember again what he said at the beginning... criticizing Trump and Vance to pay people to work on their cars. Well, it turns out... Walz never actually worked on his car. I found an article (which I don't have now, you'll have to take my word for it), where he bought the car (painted black at the time) from a coworker, and then paid his friend and his friend's son to totally restore it for him. The only thing HE did was install an 8-Track player he got from eBay and replaced an alternator with the help of his friend (which all of us know, is like two bolts and a wire connector... and right at the top and in front of the engine, like... a 2 second job, and still got help).
It bothers me because here he's trying to pretend like he's some super car guy that works on his car and knows how to get his hands dirty... but instead, never actually did any of the work himself... and yet, criticizes Trump and Vance for literally doing the same thing he did. Meanwhile, all the people that have no clue how a car works, are like... what a man....
It's more of what I've come to expect from him, completely fake, more or less a charlatan.

You're correct. It bothers you more than it should.
Lying is a "holy sacrament" for Leftists.
They are like the scorpion;
A scorpion asks a frog to carry it across a river. The frog hesitates, afraid of being stung, but the scorpion argues that if it did so, they would both drown. Considering this, the frog agrees, but midway across the river the scorpion does indeed sting the frog, dooming them both. When the frog asks the scorpion why, the scorpion replies that it was in his nature to do so.
Just accept lying as being in the Leftist's nature and act accordingly.

He is literally a poser. He did not fix a thing on there. He just posed for for the campaign ad. He didn't even point his fog lights properly. I don't think he got his hands dirty either. That is not a chain on the cruise control diaphragm; it is a rod.

and yet you are totally blind to the toxic nature of the rump his constant lying scamming and cheating not on rare occasions but as the single constant core of his dealings with others he the scorpion it is his nature
even when the guy bankrupts a gamboling casino still blind cult worship is the only answer when he lies in public about real problems the Gop whatabout any BS to dodge the lying never asks why he lied or even admits lying is the rump's brand his one and only scorpion brand
You guys make fun of this... but Trump has sold a TON of things like this. Everything from gold colored sneakers, to hats, to trading cards, to whiskey glasses with a bullet lodged in it. You name it. He's made MILLIONS and MILLIONS on this, all of which is directly funding his campaign. Just to be clear, Donald Trump has LESS money today, than he did when he first ran for President in 2016. So... this has not been financially beneficial to him. When people buy these trading cards, they're doing it because they know it's directly funding the campaign. That's the point.
OMG, you mean to say that anyone would actually wear a pair of those abominations ??!!
This is what happens when you have nothing of substantiative value to add to the conversation (you were never good about actually discussing political topics), but feel the need to still participate here because you think your side is losing the "fight" in Pennock's P&R. Come on Patrick... you do this when you feel pushed into a corner... you just go back and forth with silly stuff... posting memes, literally doing the same thing you get mad at Randye and others for doing.
This is what happens when you have nothing of substantiative value to add to the conversation...
News Flash For Todd - There is nothing of "substantiative value" in this entire sub-section of PFF. It only exists in order to keep this worthless BS from polluting the rest of the forum.
I participate here mostly for the comic relief. What I add to the conversation is of no less value than what you add... because in the grand scheme of things, it's all just meaningless blather. I am free to add what I think is appropriate, as are you.
If you believe this particular thread, about Tim Walz not actually working on his vehicle in a political campaign ad has any real merit, you are... sadly mistaken.
Suborned by Emperor Xi, a grovelling worm of an American, treasonous even. ' No, I'm not ! I believe in a global communist government with China at the top, naturally ! ' See what I mean ? The man's a liar and coward, always has been, a soft turd wearing a suit, imagining, convinced, that his lies are not recognized for what they are. ' No, I'm not a stolen valor liar ! ' Uh.. a phony claimed rank makes that true. They can't help themselves, they will blatantly lie, right to your face, lying politicians, lying dempartie politicians, that's no surprise, is it ? What is it that they think they are conning all the suckers out here to believe ? That Tim Walz is a down home regular guy ? He's more of a commie than Jane Fonda, like Biden _Joe, he has prostrated himself, surrendered himself and his Nation's interests before the ccp/pla, by the very same teenage concubine sting op, an ancient Chinese trick, since the times of Genghis Khan. ' Yeah I fell for that hook line and sinker, making me an American Sucker, just like Biden_Joe, tho he likes them much younger, like, twelve, or eleven even ! ' The dempartie, they're all a bunch of sick phucks, need to be chained to prison cell floors until croaked ! It's pathetic ! So obviously corrupted by ccp/pla, they no longer care to conceal it, believing their power will shield them from mortal consequence. Kamala endorses this pos excuse for a running mate, like how can they not know it's a certain loser campaign ? They must be in on the voter fraud scam, again, risking civil war, people will be destroyed, and deservedly so.

So this is interesting... you're getting worked up because I'm calling you out on just posting memes, yet... you get upset when other people post memes and there are dozens of posts by you getting mad at Wichita, Randye, etc... for merely posting memes? Some hypocrisy there.
I think the BENEFIT of this forum, is for people to discuss politics with people they might not otherwise. I am a constantly changing person, and my views change based on my perception, experiences, and interactions with people. What I don't think will happen, is that I'll somehow change someone else's mind, and then magically, the Republican party (or whomever I'm supporting at the moment) will magically win all the things.
But what I do see is that you don't really want to have a conversation, and instead are kind of like that kid who goes into a sandbox where other kids are playing, messes everything up, and then says "did not" and will continue to say "did not" so long as someone else says "did too." Hahah...
On your question of Walz, and what I think. I think this video absolutely has merit in discussing. Particularly because he's trying desperately to present himself as a hard-working middle-class guy that knows how to get his hands dirty. To me, it's yet another example of his facade' ... such as lying about going into combat, lying about his rank, and lying about all the other things he has. You know... it's one thing if you see someone exaggerate a little bit on the internet somewhere... but this is a guy who literally presents himself in person, and within his political position as someone he is not. To me... that's what you call a Charlatan. In this example... him "working" on his car is yet another example of this. He literally criticizes Trump and Vance for paying people to work on their car... and yet... this is LITERALLY what he did. He paid someone to completely restore his car for him. The only thing he did (with the help of his friend) was change out an alternator. And as car guys, all of us here know how easy it is to change out an alternator in a vehicle like that.

My dad got to meet Admiral Rickover... many years later when he was older (my dad is the second one from the left, Rickover is on the far right).

Please elaborate. For our comedic opinion of you.

Sadly you are mistaken. Who was Walz'ies political ad aimed at ? I did some checking. Guess what I did.

Why do you make the erroneous assumption that because I express myself on a public forum that I'm "upset"? You've done this countless times over the years. I'm quite capable of expressing an opinion just fine without being "upset".

There's very little "discussion" that takes place in P&R. It's mostly posturing and false bravado. I suppose there's an element of entertainment, but I'd hardly describe it as an enlightening environment.
I can't count the number of threads that I have started, that have turned into pizzing matches.
I do post items from primarily conservative and centrist sources, but only a few members take the time to read or listen to them before commenting on them, and it's seldom relevant to the content that was posted.

Is any of the money from this collection going to the Donald J. Trump campaign for President? NO. These Digital Trading Cards are not political and have nothing to do with any political campaign.
I think this needs to be clarified... when you support a political campaign financially, you are bound by legal and campaign finance laws. When YOU as the politician directly self-fund your campaign by money you make, it's not regulated. Meaning that... these funds can go to filling up the gas in the jet that takes him everywhere, to fighting the legal battles that he's dealing with right now because he's running. Neither of these things are considered "funding a campaign," but they are.

Perhaps you should look up the definitions for "substantiate" and "substantial".
What you said was an azzhole opinion. People have both. You should not expose your true self on the idiot net.
"Worthless BS" ? I guess you are worthless. Why are you even here ?

therump mixed it up from the beginning
first he claim to only self fund no begging
New information reveals that President Trump may have illegally financed his 2016 campaign with a secret loan that potentially exceeded legal limits. Voters in 2016 had a right to know where Trump was getting the money for his campaign.
Tweetable quote: If Trump secretly financed his 2016 campaign using an undisclosed bank loan backed by a billionaire developer, then voters have been illegally deprived of important information about the true sources of Trump's financial support.
As laid out in the latest report in The New York Times series examining Trump's tax returns, in September 2016, at the height of the presidential campaign, Trump quietly took out a multi-million dollar loan in the name of an LLC that he jointly owns with billionaire developer Phil Ruffin, with Trump Tower Las Vegas as collateral.
Tax records show that the LLC paid Trump over $21 million in 2016 and claimed a tax deduction on the payments. Six weeks after obtaining the loan, Trump gave $10 million to his campaign. Federal law requires that candidates disclose bank loans used in connection with their campaign.
Additionally, if the LLC took a tax deduction for the payments to Trump, it would mean that Trump secretly relied on taxpayers to help subsidize his 2016 campaign.

Big problem there. Money is fungible. For example, Planned Parenthood receives tax payer money. There is a restriction on using such funds to pay for abortions. So long as Planned Parenthood can show that it has enough funds from other sources to cover its abortion business, it can claim that no tax payer money went to fund abortions.
What is good for the goose, is good for the gander.

I think this needs to be clarified...Trump financed his campaign via loans that were/are being paid back to him with profit-generating interest. He is not "funding" his campaign, he is "financing" it; there is a distinct difference (i.e. whether you make money on the endeavor or not). He has, in fact, inflated his own personal wealth considerably via "paying for" his own campaigns.

Yup, with that kind of smarts, just imagine how quickly he will bring wealth and prosperity back to our nation and start paying down the national debt that the Democrats have created.

I think you're greatly misrepresenting this here... his "personal wealth" is quite a bit less today than it was in 2016 just before he ran. He's lost a lot of money.
Random point, it's so classless when people use the term "rich" to describe wealth. It tells me all I need to know about what kind of household they were raised in. Rich is used to describe the contrast of color, or how much sugar and cocoa is in chocolate, or something like that. Not the numerical value of your savings.

Are we seeking clarification ?
Trump would not be able to personally fund his campaign without financing it.
