Our education system does a horrible job teaching our citizens how the government works. I think most people understand we have "three branches of government."

The problem though, is that most people have the impression that you have these three branches of government, and then all these government organizations just sit kind of nicely under all three of them and do their work in a very non-partisan way. If anyone here thinks... "Yeah, this is how it is," then shame on you.

I ***** about this often on here, but most Americans do not really "digest" the fact that 99% of the Federal government BELONGS to the President of the United States. The U.S. President has ABSOLUTE FULL AUTHORITY to quite honestly, do literally anything he wants to all of these government organizations (short of killing people).

The only exceptions are organizations like the Congressional Budget Office (which belongs to Congress) and the Judicial Research Office (forget the name) belongs to the Judicial Branch... but the IRS, USAID, State Department, DOJ, FBI, NSA, CIA, FDA, DHS, Fish and Wildlife... whatever... the PRESIDENT has *ABSOLUTE* authority to do whatever he wants.

The only exception is:
- The director of most of them must be nominated by the President, and approved by the Senate.
- The creation of most of them must be authorized by Congress because "power of the purse."

People don't seem to understand that the President can go into any one of these agencies, send ANYONE HE WANTS into one of these agencies, and let them do whatever they want, so long as they aren't committing crimes. Again, I hear people claim that Elon Musk is getting access to information that he isn't allowed to have. First of all, the President can issue a security clearance to ANYONE he wants. The IRS works with the FBI, and they do deal with classified information, so everyone on his team would have been given a clearance. Furthermore... the entire IDEA of "classified information" has literally nothing to do with Congress. There is literally... no law establishing the creation of, or management of "classified information." The entire concept of classification comes DIRECTLY from the President of the United States.

If the President wanted to lay off every employee at the IRS TOMORROW... he could do so without having to ask Congress. Congress could try to respond by passing a law that prevented it, but there is no such thing. The president has absolute authority. Why are people so ignorant?

Look at the comments in this article... no one seems to understand this simple concept: https://www.rawstory.com/el...mments_section_start

(Also, Elon Musk and his team haven't hacked into anything, they were granted full access because the President is directly in charge of this information and he has full authority over it).

Yung, a research professor and author, built the case against Musk after reports emerged that he and a 25-year-old engineer tied to the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, chair have reportedly gained full control over the payment system code that directs Social Security payments, tax returns and other payments owed to Americans.

He was particularly alarmed by Talking Points Memo publisher Josh Marshall reporting Tuesday that “the changes that have been made all seem to relate to creating new paths to block payments and possibly leave less visibility into what has been blocked."

Seem to be ? He built a case. Umm, no, he did not.

His preferred social media platform ? Bluesky. Created by the former head of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, created it.
