Copied from The Patriot Post. I know the "gold bars" were mentioned in another thread. I believe this expands upon that comment a bit. ----------------------------------------
How much of the climate cult is really just about money?
“Get the money out as fast as possible before they [the Trump administration] come in. … It’s like we’re on the Titanic and we’re throwing gold bars off the edge,” former EPA advisor Brent Efron was caught saying in an undercover video captured by Project Veritas.
That statement, which Efron’s lawyer quickly dismissed as him simply expressing his “personal views,” adding that his client “had nothing to do with" how EPA funding was administered, is nonetheless proving to be accurate.
At least $20 billion of what amounts to an EPA slush fund went to a number of suspect nonprofit organizations that appear to have been created simply for the purpose of receiving the funding. For example, in 2023, numerous nonprofit groups were formed in and around Washington, DC, each receiving massive amounts of EPA funding, yet with seemingly no work or programs to justify the money dump.
One of these is the Climate United Fund, which was incorporated in Delaware in November 2023 and received $7 billion in EPA cash five months later. At the time, the group touted the funding as a "historic investment” in a group whose work supposedly “delivers benefits like cleaner air … and increased energy security.” What “work” is that, exactly? The organization highlights a couple of “pre-development loans” to solar projects in three states, but their total funding is a drop in the bucket compared to the $7 billion they’ve received.
Another outfit, the Justice Climate Fund, was also set up in 2023 in DC. The group is so new that it has yet to submit a tax filing with the IRS. Yet the nonprofit outfit received $940 million from the EPA to “drive transformative investments, focused on reducing pollution," it claims. Where is the EPA getting all this cash to throw around?
Thanks to the erroneously named Inflation Reduction Act, the EPA received a mind-boggling $375 billion. Former Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta, whom Biden tapped for the role in 2022, oversaw this massive taxpayer-funded cash flow.
"Ethically speaking, it’s concerning,” stated Laurie Styron, CEO of the watchdog group Charity Watch. “What was the purpose of creating middlemen entities when there are so many established groups in the climate space with good track records? What was the value-added [by] doing it this way, especially with such large sums of taxpayer funds?”
Good question. Another of these “middleman” groups is Power Forward Communities Inc., which, according to its 2023 tax filing, recorded just $100 in revenue. Yet, for some reason, the EPA saw fit to give this outfit $2 billion. Interestingly, this group is one of a five-charity coalition that, in 2023, tapped former Georgia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams as its corporate counsel.
“The Biden EPA ‘gold bar’ scheme was designed to limit government oversight while doling out funds to far-left organizations pushing DEI and Environmental Justice,” noted EPA chief Lee Zeldin. “Of the eight pass-through entities that received funding from the pot of $20 billion in tax dollars, various recipients have shown very little qualification to handle a single dollar, let alone several billions of dollars.” He added, “I have zero tolerance for waste and abuse at the EPA.”
Thankfully, the FBI and the Department of Justice have opened investigations into these grants, and banks have frozen the funds. Hopefully, the EPA will be able to recover all these funds, cutting off taxpayer dollars from going to dubious environmentalist groups.
The American taxpayers for the most part, have scrimped, saved, budgeted and invested while the government blows through the money and has to print it because they don't have enough..... Get elected, get rich.
I am starting to get the feeling they are going to find money from every department somehow making it into Democrats and their ally's pockets. It is starting to look like they have been stealing from the tax payers for decades. How much of our $35 trillion debt can be attributed to Democrat corruption?

The best part is that it's only March and all kinds of good stuff is being investigated and uncovered. I can't wait to see what they find in a year.

Last week, a conservative website and email newsletter that claims endorsements from Nancy Reagan, Sen. Rand Paul, and other conservative luminaries was in the midst of its annual Independence Day funding drive.
“One of the most significant things you can do to promote Liberty is to support our efforts,” read an appeal for donations displayed on the top of the Patriot Post’s site from Managing Editor Nate Jackson.
A man’s headshot photo appeared alongside the message — but although the man pictured works at Patriot Post as its managing editor, he isn’t actually named Nate Jackson. That’s a pseudonym, as are the names of other staffers and contributors listed on the Patriot Post’s website, including that of its publisher and executive editor, Mark M. Alexander.
While you may not have heard of the Patriot Post, it is among the oldest conservative publications online. In addition to its website, it has a newsletter whose subscribers seemingly number in the hundreds of thousands, and a large and growing presence on Facebook. Although it doesn’t run ads or charge for subscriptions, it generates enough revenue to fund a full-time staff and significant ongoing Facebook ad campaign. Yet who runs it has remained largely concealed from the public throughout its 23-year history.
When the Patriot Post launched back in 1996 as an email news digest, it was called the Federalist and did not disclose the names of those involved. Today it’s still obscuring the identities of staff and contributors through the use of pseudonyms. During that time, the for-profit organization has funded itself solely from donations from readers, according to its owner.
That owner, Mark Caldwell, publishes the Post under the pseudonym Mark Alexander. He previously went by M. Morrison Alexander. The reason for the pseudonyms is “proprietary,” he initially told BuzzFeed News.
The combination of pseudonyms, claims of top GOP endorsements, an ad-free model, and reluctance to share details about its operations makes it one of the most unique, and mysterious, partisan news operations.
It’s also in the midst of what, for it, is an unprecedented investment in Facebook ads, spending more than $23,000 since May promoting Trump’s accomplishments and inviting people to subscribe to its free email newsletter, according to data in the Facebook ads archive.

Agreed, this isn't high school, if it was, you'd be penalized for Spelling, Failure to Capitalize Correctly and absolutely no use of Punctation. Additionally, your definition of Truth is so skewed and off the wall it's what everyone is rolling their eyes about. It's not all that hard if you just try.
See there, we can agree on something.
Edited: Just curious, do you not see any benefit to the Fraud, Waste, Abuse and Corruption that is being discovered? It does appear the only people unhappy are the ones on the receiving end of the money and quite a few Democrats.

So, if I'm accurately reading your response, you agree with finding Waste, Fraud, Abuse and Corruption but don't want to give the man who is making this happen any credit.............................. Interesting.
Yeah, that makes perfect sense.
