I am too busy with engine swaps and wiring harnesses right now. However winter is coming and I could build sets for people over the winter. Drop me a PM and we can talk. Joe Sokol ------------------ 85 SE Daily driver with a 3.4 DOHC OBD II 88 Formula/GT 4.9 Allante Intake (My Baby)

Joe it was great meeting you at FieroFest. You are rightfully proud of your cars. Your headlights are the lowest profile set-up I have seen. They look most excellent. If you want to try to fit a Hella 60 or 90mm low beam projector outboard, I have ABS seconds with the correct adjuster layout you can cut up to you hearts content. Has anyone tried the 240sx lights? they look like they would fit better with less cutting and are cheaper

Any chance of a better write-up/pictures of what/where to cut? I have a set of these lights but I don't want to start cutting wildly

Hi Joe, I recently joined this forum. I have an 88 gt since 1998 and I've been contemplating some mods. Searching this forum I found yours, and I'm very impressed ! How many inches do they rise measured form top of lid to bottom of hood. Do you also have detailed directions to eliminate the guess work. Regards John | quote | Originally posted by Fieroking:
I HAve been tryingto find a fairly in expensive mod to the headlight to get rid of the big ugly single light that Ponitac blessed us with. I finally found this that can be modded to work on the retractors that we have.

The unit is plastic and I cut it and a headlight bucket to make the the unit fit like this

And a comparision of one old and one new.

Now all I have to do is finish the other side. More pictures to follow. Let me know what you all think.

The headlight mods look excellent. I might do the mod( if it was easy) but at the same time I hardly drive my Fieros in the dark of the evening. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Powerlog manifold, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Flotech Afterburner Exhaust, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, HP Tuners VCM Suite. Something to consider. I did the mod early on when he first started posting. After one winter I realized the lights them selves sucked and I was blind at night. Jury rig the wiring and tape them to the hood of your car and see if you like the light pattern. I converted mine back to smaller rectangular lights.

Any way to switch the lights in the housing to get the low beams on the outside? I'm guessing you just can't place the unit on the other side f the car.

You just wire the lights the way you want and swap the bulbs. Joe Sokol ------------------ 85 SE Daily driver with a 3.4 DOHC OBD II 88 Formula/GT 4.9 Allante Intake (My Baby) www.fieroking.com

Great mod "Fieroking", I'm going to do this over the winter. Also wondering, where did you get the hood louvers from or what are they off of? ------------------ "Because in a slit second, It's gone"

I fiberglassed mine into the hood like 2 years ago and they still work great. And are way brighter than any bulb I tried in the original lights.

Is there anyone who has a complete set that are basically bolt in ready? Or anyone that could build a set? I'd be interested in buying a set.
