That's gonna get complicated I hope

The car is alive again, let's see what Finland brings on the weekend.
Upped the fuel system capacity also from 700 to 1200hp

Last year there I managed to lift the front end running only 10.4 with 1.6 60' time.

So, the event was fun, but no cigar.

First go started like this and continued like that.
I could not tune the start to the glued track and in final go, the turbo got it's teeth on the silicone hose holding the intake mesh, so it is toast. Compressor wheel and the shaft is bent also. But it was worth it

Looks like you had some drag on that run.

Unfortunately for you, I expect 145 to come easily. I probably dont stand much of any chance when you get up to my power level considering your trans/chassis is significantly more capable than mine is.

I would really investigate a LARGE air filter for your turbo.. Justin and I have been running a very large AEM dryflow airfilter designed for diesels, and I actually went marginally slower after taking the filter off which would suggest that there is no disadvantage to running it.

I have seen similar results of cars picking up large amounts of power switching from a turbo screen / no filter to a velocity stack/air filter.

I love spools, even on the street, people look when your car goes 'chirp chirp chirp' around a corner...

Excuse my youthful ignorance.... but can you get rid of the timing chain and go for timing gears?

The season has ended for me, and I got second place on Estonian Outlaw class!
That was in front of ex Pro Stock and ex OL 10.5 cars. I feel happy
First was a friend of mine with Buick GN, so V6 power

Anyhow, I killed the turbo again(3rd time) so there are some modifications on the way for next season.

Highlight of this season:

At the biggest local car show, shown at local HRA box:

In Finland, spooled to 700hp at the start. The front tires rose vertically, so the timing was started with rear wheels!

I have plans for full tube chassis Mid-Engine Fiero Funny Car style car, but lack the time and funds this winter.

If you've got one of these broken, I'd really like a picture to take back to my Toronado forums, and tell them that. None of our big bad hunks of steel have been able to tear one of these... a tiny Fiero did XD

I read this whole thread.
Fog never broke the chain!!!
and ran a 9.7 at a mile per hour that shows he has much more potential even than that!!!
Enough power to run in the 8's
So anyway, I have broken three chains.
They are not that expensive and somewhat easy to replace.
It destroys the cover each time as well, no big deal.
Mine is a daily driver, very reliable but for these chains every few years.
Well, and broken axles every so often, those are cheap too, no big deal., I bring an extra one with me sometimes.

Very impressive!
I watched this video and I just got to thinking,
I thought of a way you could increase your track time!!!
I think you would've won these events absolutely for sure!!!
If you tried making a run without dragging your opened parachute the entire quarter mile.
Lol,
Just my two cents worth, keep up the good work!!!
