I just replaced the one in my 88 race car for the second time.
I have a template made from cardboard and buy a piece 32"X 60 from a local distributor.
This last one (3/16") cost me $80
BTW the car is down to 2250#

Is that windshield piece unformed and just forced to follow the channel with clips or button head fasteners? What thickness? Using a vertical support a la nascar? thanks

I have the Fidanza aluminum flywheel in my Fiero. It weighs 8 lb, exactly half as much as the stock flywheel.

The Lexan is unformed.
It accepts the shape very well with no distortion.
I use a thick glazing tape on the metal flange.
The flange has been drilled and Rivnuts installed every 6" at the perimeter.
The Lexan drills clean (use a dull bit) and don't torque the screws too much
I don't seal it in because I need to replace it every 3 years.
Remember, this is a race car....

mcguiver3, roger, I have an NX 2000 with rear hatch in plex, 54"x 39." It's a street setup. It also is unformed , 3/16" and sealed with a special adhesive. The seal is perfect, but the drain channel is a bit problematic . The plex is not solid bolted, rather in clips with the advesive giving 3/8" movement over temp extremes. My fiero has the makrolon rear window also in clips.

This an old thread but still interesting. Do you still race the car and have you made any more mods to the engine?
