Someone asked about this recently and I wanted to make it easier to find when searching for it by adding an appropriate title. Dennis didn't mention how much this stuff costs. In Florida expect to pay $30 per foot. It should have come with a black eye at that price. Whatever the case you don't want to end up with the wrong hose application when changing out a fuel pump.

I wonder if it's still $30 per foot and has anyone found a less costly solution?

Maybe a bit cheaper and still a known name.

The spec is SAE 30R10. $30 per foot is pretty typical at auto parts stores, but rockauto carries it at about $15 per foot - Gates 27093 and Gates 27097 are the two common parts (5/16' and 3/8").

The bad thing about SAE J30R10 submersible fuel injection line is the price. The good thing is that if you are replacing a fuel pump, (and pulsator) you will only need about a 3" length. The critical thing is that standard J30R9 fuel injection hose will not hold up in submersible (in-tank) applications. You only need a pulsator with a gyrator style pump. If you are using a turbine pump like the Bosch or Walbro, the pulsator is not needed.

Due to my own issues with this hose disintegrating (as reported Here), my search for a lower cost alternative for the proper stuff has led me to This. Seems perfect!

Part # 121652... $6.95 for SAE30R10 rated, 5/16" ID, 3" length hose.

Unfortunately, this particular site also wishes to charge $22 to ship to Canada, so I won't be ordering from them... but it would be interesting to hear if anyone in the States checks into and benefits from this. Let us know!
