I have a couple of questions regarding the bulbs needed for the interior. I think there are up to 19 bulbs in the interior which I would like to replace with LED's. My question is which LED's should I get (meaning bulb #)
I think this is what is in the car- Which LED style bulbs can be used with each? Ash tray x2 shifter x1 heater control x1 Dash x7 Dome and map x4 under dash (footwell) x2
Also I want to replace the cigarette lighter/socket in the car. But when looking at it there seems be something different on the stock one than what I have seen on the after market sites.
if you look at this pic you see a cylinder that is attached to the side of the socket, what is this for? and do I need it? does anyone know if a universal socket will work in its place?
That Cylinder holds yet another light bulb that lights up the inside of the lighter when you pull it out so at night after using it you can see where the socket is so you don't burn your interior putting it back in.
This is why the lighter gets hot when driving at night with the headlights up, as the light comes on and it gets warm in there.

I would assume these are the ash tray, shifter and heater control 70, 70, 37
Lastly then which would be for the Dash? 194
Under dash (footwell)? 168
maybe dome and map lights? 906
Just look at sylvania autozone etc.... All have some errors but most are correct.

Then again yellow LEDs are more yellow than your typical bulbs. The closest you can get are the ones called "warm white". I actually haven't tried pure white LEDs in the dash but they are cheaper so if they work great I would like to see how they turn out.
EDIT: I believe they are 3000K light temperature.

See my Cave, LED Marker Light using them and most others as front marker light.
Do you need a rectifier if you change the cars flasher to en electronic type where resistance does not matter? Or, how does changing the flasher help this whole situation?

Flasher has nothing to do w/ needing the rectifier... both are needed in many cases because they fix different problems.
Maybe. all depends how the LED is wired. Means have to check w/ maker spec sheet, etc. Some use resistors to limit current. others use more reliable current regulation and some of these can take wide range of voltage but still same current and thus LED light output. Good for brake lights etc. but bad for dimmable dash lights.
I finally got a cup holder from TLG and I have to disconnect the wires. I got all of them except the single black wire which won't come off. Any secret to getting this thing off?

As I recall it just pulls off..no real trick to it
