What's the taper angle on the 88 front upper ball joint?

I believe I have some upper control arms at my dad's house. While I'm there over the weekend I'll see if I can take some measurements.

Gotta thank Bloozberry again for these drawings!

It doesn't specify the taper, but it can be calculated from the detail on the drawings.

I have those drawings but I assumed the taper wasn't measured since it isn't indicated in the dimensions. Blooz, could you confirm?

I remembered that I have an upper ball joint cut apart and in a knuckle on the shelf... I can get good measurements from that.

That's correct Steven. I did measure the diameter of the holes top and bottom and the depth of the holes but not accurately enough to use with certainty for what you're doing. That wasn't my goal in producing these, though when you do find the taper angle, if you post it, I'll update my drawings.

My measurements off of a Rodney Dickman balljoint give a taper angle of ~9.24 degrees. However the angle is very sensitive to even a thousandth of error. Other GM cars have used a 10 degree taper, so it's probably 10 degrees.
