95 Buick Regal(3800) to an 87 GT 4 speed.

Am I going to need to take the computer out of a stick shift Camaro? Or can I just use my computer from the Regal? This is in regards to it going from an automatic to a stick.

I have heard a ton of things from a ton of people. Anyone have any experience with this?

Is that a series I? If so you will want to upgrade to a series II or III for the swap.
There are tons of off the shelf parts to make it a relatively easy swap.
Also, the series II pcm can be reprogramed to match your hardware.

Auto to stick - usually not a problem.

It's when you go the other way that you need to swap because the ECM controls the shifting and TCC of the automatic.

Of course that varies. Some newer ECMs don't like it if "something's not right" - ie: different than what it's looking for..
