Step 1: Squeeze the spring down 3 inches & use suitable wire on the inside coils to hold one side of the spring.
(Note the location of the bottom end of the spring and its intended location on the lower control arm.)
(Note the wire is on the internal coils for ease of removal.)

Step 2: Remove the clamps, allowing the spring to curve to assist installation.

Step 3: Slide the spring up into position and raise the lower control arm to engage the spring.

Great for installing, I suppose it would work for removing them too!

That's a helpful method for installing stock springs.

Lowering and/or cut springs will slide right in without much fanfare.

Great Tip! +1 for you!

I wish I would have known about this BEFORE myself and 1984WhiteSe spending 2-3 hours getting both front springs back in the car. It actually popped out one time and VERY luckily just barely hit Andrew. Scared the he| | out of the both of us!

I just used my foot to bend them. Maybe Blocked LCA w/ floor jack so can't move back. Not sure was years ago.
Then jacking up to install BJ nut.
And that w/ stock stiff spring. (RPO 6HZ, 7HZ in RPO List )
Spring at full length isn't dangerous and doesn't need much force to bend them.

I considered trying that but getting strong wire looped around the back side of the spring with the bump stop tower in the way seemed like too much trouble...
