Ummm....ok Homer. Stay away from the roids. You're a funny guy.
This is the Fiero wheel fitment diagram. What you can do here is use the measurements to see the offset of the stock wheels and compare to the new wheels you would like to buy. You'll have to do some math because the 88 had front 6" with 37mm offset and rear 7" by 30mm offset. Compare to your new wheels with "X" inch width and offset.
Spacers are fine. Someone else can do the math to see the thickness you need. Like I guessed its prob around a 1/4" I had a set laying around that were 1/4" id give you for free to try, but dont know where I put them. If you need thicker, you might want to replace the studs with longer ones to be safe. You could experiment around with a bag of flat washers to see what works, then just measure how thick your stack is. Put 4-5 flat washers on each stud for a starting point and add or subtract from that. You can bolt on the wheels over the washers, just dont drive on it.

Finally some one with a reasonable answer instead of adding to a big pizzing contest. Thank you.

Yep....
Roger I went ahead and bought some 5mm spacers and when I get them I will go from there ... ...If it doesn't look right I am gonna do the washers ideal until satisfied.
If I have to go beyond 5mm then I will replace the studs with longer ones as you have suggested. Thanks..
