3800 hole in block. Freeze plug? by johnnyray401

I have this hole on the back of my series 2 supercharged 3800. Transmission side of the block, front side of the car. That is the coolant temp sensor in the top right of the picture. What is the hole? Does there need to be a freeze plug there?

Imagining this without a pic. But. In the rectangular corner casted area that forms into the bell housing shape below the deck?
Then ,no it's normal not to have anything in it. Not certain, but I think it is used during machining to hold the block.

Nothing goes there. It's probably a hole put there by the factory for a mounting fixture on the assembly line or something. Don't plug it or do anything with it.
