Hello everyone!

I am planning to change my front turn signals into LED lights. I know they will not work properly without a LED compatible flasher or resisters. I would like to get a adjustable flasher because I would like to keep the slow flash that the Fiero already has (Just personal preference). I know that the flasher must be two prong in order to work but that's about it. Can someone please give me a part number or a link to a seller that has a compatible adjustable flasher?

Thanks,
Aaron

I'm not positive but I think I saw the correct flasher on Blacktop Racing website. I don't think they had the adjustable one you speak of though. Good luck

Just look for any two terminal LED flasher. I've never seen one that is adjustable though.

I have seen many two prong adjustable flashers but they all are listed for motorcycle applications. Do you think they would still work? They appear to have the same prong layout. Here's a link to one I found. Someone in the reviews claims to have used it on a car so I feel it should work for me. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B011BTMDQM?vs=1

I wonder how those work since there is no ground to provide a reference.

I use the one from Amazon. I also found that if you convert all the lights to LED that you will need a set of resistors. There is some leakage voltage/current in the circuit. When the rear LEDs and every thing worked fine. After installing the front LEDs I got the blinker light coming on. I don't remember the specifics but it seem like if the parking lights were on the blinker lights came on dimly. The resistors correcter the problem.

Alright thank you for the heads up on the resistors, I do plan to in time convert everything.

The Amazon one has a ground wire sticking out of it, so even though it's two prong, technically there is a third terminal.

So one more question.

Will my turn signals function properly with an LED flasher when not all signal lights are LED or will it be fine?

Some electronic flasher still need resistors to work properly with LED lights. I think that's silly. After trying a few different flasher units, I finally found one that doesn't need resistors to work with LED lights.

Like you, I first installed LED tail lights. Then later on, I upgraded the fronts to LEDs as well. This flasher unit worked great for both. However, it is not adjustable.

Alright thank you I will keep that in mind. I will probably buy the flasher that I linked or something similar, if it doesn't work out of the box I will most likely buy the one you linked.

I don't know why a motorcycle electronic adjustable flasher wouldn't work.

Same here.
The bulbs in the front provide sufficient resistance for the flasher to work.
The people having trouble usually have gone to LEDs all around.

This one will work with all applications. Standard, mixed LED or full LED. It comes with a built in ground wire on the module. Actually for a Kenworth truck, LOL but works great! Not adjustable but pretty close to the stock flash rate.

Correct. Works right out of the box. I have LED front, side markers, and all LED in the rear. Turns wouldn't flash at all with the original flasher. Plugged this in and grojunded it to the steering column with the attached ground wire and everything works like a charm. Will work fine with standard bulbs as well as mix and match.
