I believe the last time I removed the upper intake, I used a 12 point, 10mm socket.

The O/P is speaking of the four studs that are at the corners of the lower intake manifold.
A small 6 point socket will grab the splined tip of the stud and allow you to remove them.

It would really be helpful if people could at least mention what engine they're referring to!

My point was... as I'm sure you understand... is that we shouldn't need to be guessing (whether it's an educated one or not) what year Fiero and what engine is being referred to by the originator of any "help" thread. It's a time/effort waster for everyone and it only serves to further muddy the waters when the assumptions are wrong.

Dried up? There's nothing wet going through the intake manifold. (ie It's not like a carburetor.) No need to take any of it apart just for the gaskets.

If it's not leaking, I would leave it alone. The intake gaskets on 2.8s are not known to be problematic.
If it's leaking oil, up high, I would check the distributor O-ring and valve cover gaskets, in that order. With only 20K, I would really be surprised if anything is leaking.

If you can just 'unscrew' I can send you one off my parts engine, just cover shipping. If you cant get it out cleanly you will most likely need to drill it out, and helicoil it. Then I can still send you another one

I don't want to remove it, i's good. I do have one broken off that the shop doing the valve shop will remove.
Thanks for offer.
I will just get a bolt of the same size and cut off the head and machine the top like the others.
