Purchased a Comp Cam "package" from a fellow PFF member, includes a 260H cam, lifters, springs and timing chain. However the timing chain is missing the cam sprocket. Is it possible to use the stock one with the Comp Cam? Just wanted to ask before I go through the trouble of finding one. I know a lot of times these parts are packaged together for a reason. Thanks in advance.

The cam will have the same bolt holes as a stock cam. I used a Cloyes double-roller on my Comp 260h.

Edit: Pic of my original 2.8L timing chain set.

I'd be concerned about the stock cam sprocket (especially the fact it's used) working with the new aftermarket timing chain (although the crank sprocket is both factory and used). It may or may not be an issue, I don't know.

Couple things, thank you Hudini for providing the picture and info and Patrick, that is definitely a concern of mine as well. I will take a good look at the cam sprocket before proceeding with any change of coarse. However I have not come across a cam sprocket breaking, not saying it couldn't happen though. ha
