On my Indy I had the electronic cruise control up and running while I had the automatic transmission.
Then I swapped in the manual 5-speed.

This is arrangement of switches that you'll have with the automatic transmission.

On the brake pedal there will be 2 switches:
White upper switch connector 1 - yellow/green is Cruise Control Vacuum Release Solenoid
White upper switch connector 2 - pink/purple is TCC unlock
Grey lower switch connector 1 - Orange/White/Yellow is brake light switch (yellow added for 3rd brake light)
Grey lower switch connector 2 - 2 grey wires/brown-white go to Cruise Control Module (break cruise when brake applied)
The brown-white wire in Scotch-lock would normally be on 2nd terminal of that connector.

When you swap in a manual trans and a clutch pedal, 2 pedal switches were added:
White Switch - yellow/purple wires is safety start switch (clutch must be pressed to start engine)
White switch - 2 tan/white wires added to break cruise when brake applied
Wired in series with same switch on brake pedal - pressing either pedal breaks Normally Closed circuit.
Wired as per factory: see Service Manual Electrical Diagnosis

That clutch pedal switch in that one circuit is the only addition to the cruise control wiring.

The electronic cruise control I have is wired as per Darth Fiero's diagram (minus brake relay)

Working on diagnosing why electronic cruise control stopped working.
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...0502-2-090358-4.html

I swapped in another digital cruise unit - nothing.
Power and ground to CC are working.
TCC Brake input N.C. is functioning as per Darth's diagram.

Maybe I have a bad/misadjusted switch - will check...

The problem may be output of the 4-output cruise buffer.

The wiring may be arranged differently on some buffers.
You have to go by wire color. PINK is power, BLACK is ground... etc.
Pin B on VSS connection should go to Ground in Buffer (check with ohm meter).
If it does, then swap wires in connector so YELLOW is on A and PURPLE is on B.
Otherwise your speedo won't work...

VSS Buffers are all good.

Found a problem or two elsewhere...

On the brake pedal...
White upper switch connector 1 - yellow/green wires go to Cruise Control Vacuum Release Solenoid
Broken wire or connection on yellow wire. Intermittent or NO power at times at connector. Fixed that.

Changed connection of N.C. clutch pedal switch to be in series with N.C. switch on brake with yellow/green wires.

Added a Power with Brake On connection to Pin G on the digital cruise motor. Didn't need it before... ??

I also replaced the Grey brake pedal switch with a new one. Contacts inside looked burned.

Cruise control seems to be working now, with a few odd quirks.
Cruise only seems to work at about 45mph or higher....
It will not always Resume Speed after braking to slow down.

Otherwise, Set, Accel, and Coast are working as they should.
