Hey, Patrick,
Thanks for the answer. I will see if I can find a replacement in a junkyard somewhere. It's an '88 GT.
Here's a little history:
I have had this car since '94, and there were no collisions while I owned it. Of course, I can't say anything about the first six years. After 145,000 miles, 30,000 or so put on the car by me, it began to have an engine knock, so I put it in the barn. A marriage, seven children, and the growth of a business happened while the car hung out in the barn, until about three years ago when I began taking things apart in an attempt to get it roadworthy (and pretty) again. When I took this part out, it was not beautiful, but it wasn't literally crumbling like it is now. It's actually turning to powder, and this happened while stored in a box, (not in sunlight) off the car, in the last three years.
So, yes, it may have been hit (I do remember some cracked cells when I took it off,) but now it's actually rotting. When I touch it, it is brittle and just shatters. I assumed that they all suffered this fate, but if you've seen more than one, you have more experience than I do.
Perhaps if I replace the urethane fascia with fiberglass I don't need this piece. I need to replace the fascia anyway, and I was leaning toward urethane because of its resiliency, but...
Thanks again,
Troy

I don't know where you'd find replacements, except from off another Fiero. There's at least three different styles of this egg-crate material, depending on the model (nose) of the Fiero.
