I'm new to anything involving fieros just a fore-warning to anything stupid I might say. I purchased a 1985 2.5L fiero and my tach used to work but now it doesn't work at all. I looked behind the dash and can't find any bad connections. can't locate the mysterious tach filter either

It should be in the area around the thermostat housing and distributor.
The diagram shows it as bolted to a head bolt stud.
It may be inside the harness wrap.

I had the same problem some years back a new filter should solve this issue as it did for me at that time I got the new filter from Rodney Dickman but I understand the Fiero Store has it as well not expensive Item probably shipping and handling cost as much as the filter. I hope this helps Oh i forgot replacing the filter is less than 2 minutes really easy.
Good Luck

Before replacing the tach filter test it first. Unplug the filter and just short between the two terminals. If the tach comes to life, the filter is bad. If not suspect a bad tach board. I do sell replacement tach boards. $79.00 for the board and add $15 to add a low fuel light.

email me at gofast@reddevilriver.com if interested.
