My manifolds are cracked in two places and the flange going to the Y pipe is broken, so does anyone make a complete set of headers w/ Y pipe besides west coast fiero?

I have a bunch of negative comments about them, but what I need is to get a set quickly as I have several exhaust leaks.

headers are repairable (by someone who knows how to weld) and used parts are still available in the Mall.

Rodney Dickman makes a welding jig you can use to hold the exhaust manifold together for welding. Make sure the welder is rated for stainless steel. And you will need to re-plane the face plate before bolting it back onto the engine. I've done it many times. You will want to port the manifold of all flashing to prevent the cracking from happening again. It improved performance as well, adding about 7-9 hp.

The flange is broken and I do not have the piece, po used a C clamp to hold it together and I am looking for headers and not the original exhaust manifolds right now.

So is West Coast Fiero the only company making headers for Fiero's?

Yes but they are pricey. For another choice, ZZ performance makes a powerlog manifold that is non-restrictve. Occasionally you will see 3800 headers on eBay for the Grand Prix. They can be made to fit but require a cut out trunk.

Why do you need to fix this quickly? Getting custom headers is not a fast project... I can easily imagine two weeks with a good exhaust shop, involving pulling the engine.

Your requirement to not use stock manifolds is contradictory with the goal of fixing the leaks fast.

Do you rely on this Fiero as a daily driver?

Dennis, OP is asking about 2.8 exhaust, not 3800 exhaust.

If you can set your sights below "professional grade", you could just buy a MIG welder (with gas), and dive right in. You should be able to make functional parts in not too long.

pmbrunelle, the leak is driving me crazy, hence fast. As in I want to order asap and headers will be used in the next step of my upgrades. Also, the flange where the manifold attaches to the Y pipe is broken off on one side and is gone, so no repairing the stock manifold.

As a way to get around the broken stock flange, it is possible to install a V-band coupling instead.

I installed V-bands on my stock manifolds:

I don't know; the car doesn't run yet, but V-bands are considered good stuff.

So West Coast is the only ones making headers and from reading their website and what I read, they seem pretty brittle. I am going to use my stock manifolds and am curious as to if anyone has made shields to protect them from water?

In all the years I've been here, IMO the best solution ever posted to protect the front exhaust manifold was to replace the removed recall weatherstrip on the decklid with this custom made water diverter. A good description was posted in the following thread, but a search will turn up many more.

Come install an aftermarket recall rear decklid weatherstrip diverter

How difficult could it be to fabricate them? They look pretty simple.

Here we are - Flexible Duct Connector

Cut it to length, use a bending brake to shape the metal strips (as in the image of the finished item in my previous post)... BINGO, good to go.

Thanks Patrick!

One question, looks like you folded both ends over. Is there a reason for this?

I never folded any ends over (as I'm just the messenger here )... but I suspect it's been done for fitment purposes.
