The prior owner did the swap and removed the ALDL port.

presently the engine fires up but it is running a bit rich.

does anyone know what wires from the PCM are used to hook up to the ALDL port from a 98 gran prix?

There are 4 mystery wire that are unattached

I want to be able to get my PCM tuned and need the data

Any help woudl be appreciated!!

Seems like a wiring diagram for a 98 Grand Prix would help you out.
Sorry though I haven't dealt with 3800s

Pin 59 on the blue connector of the PCM should go to the purple on the OBD2 connector. Here is the pinout: http://www.gmtuners.com/fil...o_L67_PCM_wiring.pdf

The wire was missing from the PCM for me and had to pin it into the connector.

Believe you just need the power and ground wires to the OBD2 connector also hooked up? Can't remember for sure.

Looks like also pin 15 also goes to the OBD2 connector and 2 grounds as seen in the link above and it tells you which pin on the ODB2 connector to connect it to.

ALDL is a term used with OBD 1

DLC (Diagnostic Link Connector) is the term used with OBD 2

DLC 2 - PCM BLUE 59 - ppl
DLC 4 - ENGINE BLOCK GROUND - blk/wht
DLC 5 - ENGINE BLOCK GROUND - blk/wht
DLC 9 - PCM BLUE 15 - tan

]Thanks for the help guys,

One of the cut wires (purple) coming out of the loom was traced back to Pin 59

Unfortunately Pin 15 the tan wire is missing in action. From the picture it looks like it was there at one time. Can this Pin be added back in?

What do you guys use to wrap your wire harnesses with?

Again thanks for the help much appreciated

Yes, I had wire with the pins on them that I removed from the connector that were for auto trans stuff since my car is a 4 speed and I didn't need them. You take the back of the connector off and can take the blue or clear plastic piece off if needed and can push the pin in.

They will be similar to this if you need to buy some. Would do some research to make sure you get the right wire guage and size. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will chip in some more info as well.

I put a wrap of tape around the bundle every so often and then use the OEM style high temp corrugated split loom.
