Fellas,
......πŸ€¨πŸ€” What to do, what to do?
I have a good set of front β€˜88 Fiero calipers and their associated rotor components. I would like to be able to put them on my stock β€˜85 Fiero. Is there a way to do this? Any suggestions?...........I sure hope so🀨
Cordially,
Kevin

Hey Kevin, were you not able to contact Sluppy? He was the one who made the adapter brackets that I used....If he is no longer making them maybe someone can copy one of the ones I have....

You could probably make your own from a slab of 7075 and then a couple of spacers......

Kevin isn't wanting to use the 12" rotors, just install the 88 front caliper with the 88 Fiero rotors.

The issue is caliper to knuckle interference when you have such a small rotor (10.43). The bracket above works with 12" rotors as the bolt holes are spaced a little more than 3/4" further apart.

On the 84-87s the 88 caliper body and the connection to to the knuckle are on the same side of the bracket (not the case for 88 brake kits), so the bolt tabs on the knuckle and the slider housing on the caliper must clear each other. You could try rotating the caliper vs. knuckle, but then you could run into interference between the caliper and upper a-arm.

cvxjet,
I took your recommendation and contacted sluppy123. Unfortunately, he does not offer the ring spacers any longer☹️. I believe I should borrow an extra ring from you. Then I cancontact a machine shop and have them make me a set. The good news is that I can schedule some time with you over a cup of coffee.
I have to be in Alabama for work in the next few 4 weeks. When I get back I’ll contact you.
Cordially,
kevin
