OK...For a while now I have been planning on creating a list of torque specs for our Fieros that could be posted in the Faqs section. I have the list but would like some feedback to make sure that my list is accurate- Also, I may add to it; This lists the suspension, brake system and clutch torque specs- these are the ones we use a lot in regular maintenance- Obviously, most people take their trans or engine to a shop where the SHOP deals with those specific torque values...
Please look the list over and suggest any changes to me...once it is solid, I will ask Cliff to transfer the list to the Faqs section.
1988 REAR SUSPENSION & CRADLEFront Cradle bolt/nut = 66 Lb/ft
Rear cradle Bolts = 76 lb/ft
Trailing arm forward = 37 lb/ft
Trailing arm rear bolt = 44 lb/ft + 90*
Lat' arms spindle bolt = 37 lb/ft + 90*
Lat' arm to frame bolt = 41 lb/ft
Strut to Spindle bolts = 140 lb/ft
Strut bracket-tower = 18 lb/ft
Strut top to bracket = 65 lb/ft

Lower control arm to crossmember nut = 37 lb/ft + 270*
Upper Ball joint to Knuckle nut = 30-40 lb/ft (1/6 turn to align cotter pin>>Not to exceed 55 lb/ft)
Lower Ball joint to Knuckle nut = 26 lb/ft + 180* (Max 1/6 turn to align cotter pin)
Steering gear to crossmember Bolt = 20 lb/ft
Tie Rod at knuckle nut = 15 lb/ft + 180* (Max 1/6 turn to align cotter pin)
Hub/Bearing to Knuckle bolt = 62 lb/ft <<<<Factory book is WRONG!!!! (This is right)>>>>>
Upper shock nut = 8 lb/ft
Lower shock to arm bolt = 20 lb/ft
Stabilizer bar to frame bolts = 20 lb/ft
