I'm beginning a 3800 swap on my 88 Formula, and I'm trying to figure out who is still making engine mounts. Fierorog stopped answering my emails (edit- he was busy and is now getting back to me), and I think the WCF mounts are too tall and require alternator relocation (please verify). Are there any other current offerings that don't require alternator relocation on a notchback? When I search, I get many bad links and very dated posts.

What transmission?

Any special reason you want to keep the alternator in the stock location? I have an 88 formula and even if not notching the decklid, it was very close to the strut tower. I wound up moving to give myself more room.

I'm staying with the Getrag. I want to keep the alternator where it is just for less cost/headache. I had read that the notchbacks will clear the decklid with some mounts.

Are you on facebook?
That's how I got a hold of Roger.

There's also a couple other guys who may make you a set. Danny Mcllmoyle (fieroflyer) will sometimes.
A guy named Brian Welch made his own and it's mounted low enough for things to clear. He may be able to give you some photo's or insight. Throw enough money at him maybe he'll make you a set?

I actually did hear back from Rog. His price was good and included the alternator bracket, so I'm going for his. Shouldn't be a problem now.
