Hello friends My name is Julio and I live in Brazil, I bought a Fiero year 1988 and I will need your help for any doubts I have in the assembly, it is a long-term project and a lot of courage, because here there are no spare parts and you may even need to import. Hug to everyone!! And thank you! Sincerely Julio.
Welcome to the Forum! What can you tell us about the history of the car (W02?)
Thanks buddy, what can I say about the car. The former owner bought it in 2003 and because of a problem in the gearbox was leaning on 17 years. Then Julio showed up and cheered up the project. The former owner also left aside for health problems and old age already.
Judging from the height of the back of the car, I suspect it has an empty cradle. What are you hoping to put back there?
The car also has a unique spoiler mounted on the decklid. I've never seen one like that before. It's subtle, I like it.
Thank you!! The car is without the rear suspension and aggregate , former owner due to the problem of the box had a design put an Audi V6 + automatic gearbox. I intend to bring the originality back to the car. I confess that it will not be easy due to the shortage of parts here in my country. But I'm not one to give up what I want. The spoiler or "airfield" as we speak here is quite harmonious yes. I'll keep this one, because the set was great.
Welcome to the best Fiero resource on the net. Just about everything Fiero has been discussed here . I don't believe that many here speak Portuguese but if you can get by with the translator. you will have all the info that you need. If you require standard replacement parts Rock Auto will ship to you. If you need unique parts The Fiero Store may also ship to you. Good luck with the project. When finished you will have a fun car to drive.

wonderful, thank you for the great reception, I will certainly need one piece or another, and I will use the forum. Thanks!
Good to see this project undertaken. Many of us use a more powerful engine than stock.
So, as the purchasing power is not the greatest and here in the performance segment things are very expensive, I will do my best to work with originality, but in the future who knows! Thanks!
i hang out with a bunch of Brazilians here in Halifax. Bem vindo jon

I'm the original owner of a white ' 84 2M4 purchased Dec 10, 1983 from Pontiac. Always garaged, no rust, 4-wheel drifts are fun!
Save friends, the Fiero problems started, I need this repair kit (rubbers) for the brake caliper, some indication of how I can search, a specific name maybe. Thank you very much in advance!!!
That doesn't look to me like an original Fiero brake caliper. I wonder if the previous owner installed brakes from some other kind of vehicle.
Is that from the front or the back? The Fiero rear calipers have the parking brake, which makes them complicated and difficult to rebuild.
You should be aware that Fiero brake calipers are difficult to come by, even here in the US. One source for them is https://www.fierostore.com/ The Fiero Store can be expensive, but they have many parts that aren't available anywhere else (and are nice helpful people too
I hope that comes through the translator okay!

Hello friend, how are you? I hope well. They are the rear ones, they were disassembled for repair, but as there are no rubbers here, I picked them up again, they have the hand brake activated.
Here is a post of how to rebuild the 1988 calipers- especially the rear with the extra seal. It has the Centric Brakes part numbers also. (Main 1988 caliper kit Centric PN; 143.62031......Extra Internal seal for 1988 rear Pistons contained in Centric kit PN; 143.62008

Julio - I join the others in welcoming you to the world of Fieros! I found it a little funny that someone in Brazil would have a low-production American car, while I live in the United States and have a 1992 Volkswagen Fox, made in Brazil. None of my three Fieros are 1988 models, but I will watch your project with great interest and offer help when I can. Again, welcome and best of luck! - Chris
