Hi All,

I searched and found nada. I am really curious if anyone has looked into adapting the T-tops from another car to the Fiero.....or rolling your own.

Considering the Vette....the plexiglass T-tops could be cut to fit....and if the seal system can be adapted there are always repo parts for Vettes. Or mebbe the tops from a Camaro/Bird?

I have not researched anything....so I thought I would ask the experts! Who knows....mebbe even to fit a chop top!

What are your thoughts?

TIA

Larry

The Fiero Ttops are very small front to rear compared to other cars I've seen. Due to the B pillar and quarter windows, putting a longer (front to rear) Ttop on would look funny IMO. Not sure if there are other cars with small Ttops like the Fiero to even attempt this with.

Now would be a good time to chop the top too.

I would think that if you have the T top section, cross brace, windows and seals from another Fiero all of the parts can be re-installed to make a T top car. There also may have been an aftermarket kit but that goes back a long while.

Spoon:

The point was to use NON-Fiero T-Tops.

Of COURSE one can install a Fiero T-Top in a Fiero.....But you have a non-supply and demand problem. A cross platform swap would allow a lot of want to have T-top owners to have a chance to have there own.

I have always wondered why Archie did not issue his own T-Top Kit.

Thanks, all,

Larry

Cost to produce vs what Fiero owners want to pay.
There's a reason Borla exhaust is no longer available.

The debate here can be possibly ended because another vehicle T-Top would require the same identical length, width, roof size, curvature and fit as the original. Its just not going to happen but I believe that back in the 1980's a company made an exact fitting custom T-Top kit.
