The lower control arm mounting bracket on the driver's side has broken loose from the frame. That same bracket has also split in half at the bottom. Rather than welding the bracket back in place, I am wondering if there is a better solution. These brackets are thin and this is the second time it's broken away from the frame. Ideally, I'd like to fabricate a thicker bracket and weld it to the frame. Has anyone had this problem and what is the best way to deal with it? Is there an aftermarket (beefier) bracket? My concern is simply welding the existing bracket will be an ongoing event.
