Just bought a Cerwin Vega subwoofer for behind the passenger seat, how have you all routed the wires to the battery? Through the firewall? Any pictures????

Dimensions: 13.60" L x 9.60" W x 2.60" H

Nice plan for better sound but you really don't have that much room in back of the seats higher up. My 3800SC PCM is installed there about 6" off the floor on the firewall and it just clears with the seat all the way back. Probably mounting near the floor is best. Let us know where you mounted and how it worked out.

It's under 10" tall on its side. I made a box out of wood to the exact measurements, according to that I will need to leave the seat one notch forward, but should still fully recline.

But I won't know 100% for sure until it arrives obviously. It's literally the narrowest unit I could find, 2.6" thick.

I'll let you know when it comes and gets installed!!! It's all on the way now.

I used this for the positive and I plan a stainless bolt for negative.

Here are the results, this speaker blew my expectations out of the water. I would have never guessed you could get this kind of sound out of a box that small.

Very minimal seat travel loss.

Back in the late 80's to 90's when Rockford Fosgate and Cerwin Vega were doing head to head battles to be the top dog, both companies really ramped up their quality offering epoxy coated woofer cones and extra strong coils. I used to build custom enclosures for both manufacturers based on their woofer specifications and the sound was amazing so it's no surprise to me that the sound is awesome. Glad it worked out for you and you still have some leg room on the passenger side.

No it doesn’t.

At least not easily on the outside.

Wow, that's pretty cool!

I've always like Cerwin-Vega, and it just seems more time appropriate, for whatever reason, for this car than anything else.

Matched with the 4x10's up front, it sounds DAMN good for what it is.
