88 GT snapped one of the studs leading from the EGR valve housing to the EGR tube. Anyone know what size they are? Someone in an old post said M8 x 1.25 but I took the old nut to Lowes and it did not fit on their size finder tool. It didn't fit on any.

Need a size to look for or if someone has one for sale. Please see pic (not my car) . Thanks!

it's possible that it's degraded so much that it won't fit to any of the spots on the sizer.

I recently swapped my steering rack. Broke one of the bolts, the others looked...unclean. So, decided to replace them all.

Took the bolts to the sizer, and it wouldn't fit on any of them.

I even tried putting a nut on the bolts to no avail.

I finally ended up getting the M8 x 1.25 bolts, figured if that was wrong I'd just swap them for M8 x 1.0 - but it turned out to be correct.

That's because it was my car. (I recognized the little white arrow added to the photo.)
