1988 GT. Blower motor squealing is back after a peaceful and multi-year reprieve. I thought I had a replacement but noticed they don't match. Two plugs into the motor in the car, one on the would-be replacement. I'll try to include pictures.

I just ordered another from NAPA which is supposed to arrive by one o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Local NAPA lady said on the phone she couldn't tell from the poor illustration on her monitor about the connections. Wish me luck.

I'm pretty sure I got the would-be replacement from the Fiero Factory years ago.

Any comments/thoughts?

Update: "upload media" not working even after I logged in.
Motor in car has a violet colored wire going to what looks like a cylindrical push-in single plug at the 7 or 8 o'clock position and a black wire going to a rectangle shaped push-in at the 4 o'clock.
Would-be replacement has one oval shaped receptacle with two male tabs inside.

olejoedad,

Would seem (contingency planning in case wrong motor arrives tomorrow) the violet & black separate leads motor might have been used in other GM vehicles . . ? Maybe - again assuming the worst tomorrow at NAPA - the nice counter person could see what looks like the same for early 90s or so GM car blower motors . . .
