Hey Mark... there's a connector that goes through the A-pillar down to the electrical block under the drivers side (just above the footwell). Have you checked to make sure it's getting power? It's possible that when you replaced the headliner, that this wire (that feeds the dome light) was not properly reconnected, or was in fact cut perhaps.

I don't have my Fiero in front of me, but I seem to recall that directly above the "dead pedal" on the drivers side (beyond the pull-down fuse panel), there is a white (and orange?) power distribution block that a lot of the options are plugged into, and this is where that light harness connects to.

The map lights are grounded to the roof panel on the inside (driverside) overhead console. You should be able to spot it with a connector on one of the mounting tabs. It's often the cause of the lights not working if the overhead console was removed then not properly seated (since it's grounded through only the small contact patch of the threads). I have in the past added a small metal washer on that screw for a little better contact patch of the screw head on the connector on the mount tab.

Dome & Map lights Lenses are made for 906 Tungsten bulbs.

The Dome lights are Flood Light & light the whole car & LED there won't matter to most people.

But turn on the P-side Map, 906 bulb output mainly light the passenger & while driver sees less outside @ night is not as bad as having the Dome On or having LED in the MAP section.

Note: Having Dome &/or Map lights On while driving can be a target for cops to stop you. Even ignoring that, the light pollution wrecks any night vision, worse when have no street lights etc.

If "hell bent" using LED, Do Not use "CANBUS" units! These have Low Ω Resistors Eat Power & Generate Heat.
