The Fiero store sells a roll of sealant tape (basically a bead of a sticky rubbery substance), which is the original, when I did mine I used silicone caulking (window or bathtub sealant or something), and that's working just fine.

I used 3M Window-Weld butyl rope from O'Rielly's. It was 1/4 in x 15 ft, but I had to stretch it to make it thin enough to go into the groove. I let the whole thing lay in the sun for a few hours to become good and sticky, then mated the housing and lens together. You will have plenty to do a pair of tail lights.

3M Windo-Weld Ribbon Sealer {butyl tape/rope}

If you use something "dries" {i.e. caulking} - good luck to open them again!
