I have a 1986 GT fastback and I'm swapping a 4.3 from a chevrolet silverado 1500 into it I'm wondering how the exhaust is going too work. will I need to get a custom exhaust done because I need the trucks headers and the truck exhaust 100% will not fit nor sound right with such little room. Its also getting twin turboed. Asking for advice.

Hereis my old build thread for a 4.3 CPI swap.https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Archives/Archive-000001/HTML/20130314-2-087174-1.html

If you are going twin turbo, then everything will need to be custom.

Years back there was a kit car company in California that offered a kit to install 2 small turbos on the 2.8L. It was originally done on a kit car that had a larger engine compartment but with a 4.3L in a Fiero, would guess that you are looking at giving up the trunk area and creating a full custom exhaust system. IMO, you may wish to consider one properly sized turbo that may offer an easier installation.

In Fieros, above the transaxle is a good spot for a single turbo.

Typically, the choice of single/twin turbo is not decided without considering packaging requirements.

A properly elected dual scroll turbo will eliminate any advantage that a twin turbo setup would deliver.

This sounds like the best solution and perhaps the most economical.
