Hello everyone, I have a 1988 4cyl notchback.

My issue right now is that the headlights won't fully go up on their own. They'll make an attempt but as they go up theyll fall down, come back up, fall down again and then lock in the position the motors stop spinning at.

They'll stay open if I hold them up while they spin though. But I just want to make it a bit easier since I have to hold them open before I go anywhere.

Any ideas?

Motors need to be taken out and the gear bushings need to be replaced.

I highly recommend this rebuild kit since you should change the gaskets once the motors are apart.
