I need to tell you that ZZ Performance tunes for a Fiero swap leave a lot to be desired. Their tunes for the FWD applications are very good, but every ZZP tune in a Fiero that we have had thru the shop were not correct. |

I always did all my own tuning and have never used ZZP . ZZP has had more experience with the 3800 than just about any place around so I made the assumption that they should be the experts. My tunes are specific to the engine, vehicle and with so many variables it becomes a custom job. When I did them in the past we did road scans, saved the results and made changes where improvements were required. Actually WOT was the easiest as it uses a fixed fueling table. We charted the fueling mixtures per RPM and MAP readings preferably with a wideband and related that to performance but you really need a dyno to optimize horsepower with a tune. The OP just wanted to shut off the VAX. That's three changes and a 10 minute job.
