I have an 88 GT, V-6, 5-speed. If you can let me know what is supposed to plugged into the connection in the attached pictures, I sure would appreciate your help.
sorry to bump but what are the two relays in the picture for? I think the one closest to the light bracket is for the heater fan but the one in the left of the photo. thanks sleek
Oddly enough, not all Fieros came with the underhood light... it was an option.
Some Fieros didn't come with the light in the rear trunk either. It came with a solid (not clear) grey or beige plastic cap in place of where the light went, and just an empty hole where the switch would go.
It was something I thought was always kind of cool about the Fiero. If you wanted to... you could literally get the Fiero totally stripped down... like, they even had a block-off plate for the radio. I had a 1985 Fiero 2m4 SE back in 1997 that I got for $250 from a local auction, it had no options, except a sunroof, and an AM radio. I kept the AM radio because it was so weird to me... no FM... just AM.

I had an 88 Coupe that had ZERO options when it left the dealer. The aforementioned trunk light block off plate, radio block off plate, no AC, no Cruise, no Sunroof. Not even an antenna. No nothing.
The owners later had an aftermarket AC and an AM radio installed. Front speakers only.
l ordered my '85 SE V6 with (Obviously) the V6, and also the handling suspension, second-level radio/cassette player, and the light option- but nothing else...it only weighed 2580 w/ half tank of gas- and was very fast.
The under-hood lamps were really poorly thought out; The frunk one only came on when the headlights were on- and they lit up the whole area better than that little lamp. The rear trunk one shines right in your face- should have mounted it on the back-side of the trunk....
