the Tangerine menace decided to start having a slipping clutch so im not sure what to put in it currently.. the 3.4 swap is put off semi indefinitely until i find one that isn't 3k or needs everything...still looking for an lq1
anyways it had a stage 2? i think is what the previous owner had said and ive heard mixed things about the ram clutches. it is a stock 88 formula now (minus the ocelot exhaust and higher flow intake box and filter) but we have alot of hills and it tends to be a little low on torque down low sometimes (idk what it is i stopped being there to fix it)
hence looking for something that can take a little more slipping especially for the awful gridlock traffic

Previously I used a luk clutch on a 3.4 push rod motor and felt it was ok this car was sold a few years ago. For the current build in a different car I upped it to a spec stage 2, this is a 3.4 with a cam, dohc pistons, some porting, roller rockers, so far happy with choice.

The reason I moved from the luk clutch is that we have one in a lq1 motor and found it to be slipping when launching the car. We have spec 2 clutch now for that car and will change it out later.

I have the HD Ram clutch bolted to my 4.9. It does fine, although there is a ton of torque down low, since it's a tractor motor.

ive heard the 4.9 can shred those pretty easy and they tend to throw the springs out. not sure how true it is but ive had luk reccomended to me 20 times now so it'll likely be a luk i go with if not the larger diameter ram clutch

Put it down for 21 reccomendations for the luk kit. I use and abuse them with my 3.4 LQ1, fantastic clutch!
