It's that short exhaust on the Fiero. The 2.8 sounds way better in the Fiero than it did in any of the other cars it was used in.

EDIT - Wow I own Page 38!!

Yeah, and just make sure the car is covered from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM and it should miss all the rain.

assuming he didn't change the windshield angle he might be ok as log as he stays at highway speed. i got caught once in a brief shower that really wasn't very hard but somewhat steady while on the highway. i felt a bit of mist on my neck but beyond that it wasn't too bad. i was going to stop under the next highway over pass i went under to put the top up, but by then the rain had stopped.

Well it is Spring now & I said I'd see you in the Spring.

We are back from Daytona & I gotta say the cars were better than ever.

Daytona was the debut of the PFF Roadster.

6 Speed, LS1, RCC Coil Overs/Tubular "A" arms, Mr. Mikes Leather, Big Brakes, Paint by FireFox Assembly by Rob & Kris. I helped a little.

Contrary to what some skinny High School kids say, this car proves that PFF DOES NOT Suck.

From a FL member here, I want to say thanks for bringing your cars down for the show. The only sad thing is you didn't leave the roadster here to enjoy more of the FL sunshine.
Thanks Gary

Well, back to work.

Could this be the 1st 6 speed 6 banger we're working on? or it it the 1st 6 banger car that I've ever considered putting the stock engine back into?......

Before........

After.........

(note, just trial fitting right now)

While we're at it, could this be the 1st SBC 6 speed going together?.........

Now I KNOW this is my engine - the red Chevy embossed logos on the covers means it's my "quick burn" 350. Right? Oh please God, let it be mine!

When should I plan to pick up my "chopped", "hopped" '88 ? hmmmm?

My buddies here are buggin' me like crazy - "Hey Dave, when ARE you going to get that slingshot!"

Another friend here at the City of Mississauga is getting his Solstice in about 5 weeks - it's being assembled as I write this. He's been following your posts in the OTHER forum. Sez he'll run it as is for a few years - then bring it to you for the big V8...

Send me a PM when you've got a moment or two...

Dave (aka TAZMNDVL)

As it turns out - this one isn't mine - it's a 383/350. Mine's a 330/350. The difference, from the outside look is the 383 has an aluminum rocker cover and mine is Chromed steel.

I've attached some pics of my build - follow the link...

Picture so far are - me, the towing setup, Archies, the start of my chop, the engine in a crate, and then others with the chrome TPI - wahooooo!

Sorry had to change the photos up and change the link...

DrCPU's car is the TAZMNDVL. It's an '88 GT & will have a new GM Crate engine known as the 350HO Fastburn. We're going to put an all chrome TPI system on it with the G6 6-speed. It will be chopped & have RCC Coil-overs all the way around with our Big Brake conversion.

The chop is coming along just fine......... & the engine has a lot of Chrome on it.......

Does anyone think we should do a build-up thread on it?

Archie

Build up thread? Oh HELL yeah!!

The Fast Burn 385 is one of my favorite crate engines. I'll be VERY interested to see how it runs with this TPI setup. I may try to something very similar in my Formula. (still haven't decided on engine)

There's a drag strip just a little east and north of Sarnia, Ont. I did a few runs on my Harley a couple of years back ... so as soon as I get a few kms on the new engine will take the new beast for a few runs to see what's up! You guys will probably have to wait till mid-june to see the numbers... but I'll post them when I get them!

Archie - The Solstice looks great! When are you going to submit it for the e-zine? I haven't heard from you for awhile and I know that you mentioned that you would be submitting it. I'm sure our readers would be interested! Plus it's free advertising for you guys.

Great job over there keep it up!
