You'll notice that between these 2 runs, we added a little timing above 5000rpm.

Notice that in the run called 003 the HP straightened out & held after hitting it's peak at about 6100 rpm.

At that point the datalogging was showing the injectors at 85% duty cycle. To get much more it'll need bigger injectors.

In the chart below notice how the same 2 runs gain a couple of HP by setting the smoothing at 0. Smoothing is at 4 in the 1st pic above.

Looks like your 1 7/8" headers, 3" exhaust, and the new tune were good for about a 25 HP increase!!! Corvette Forum says a stock Z06 makes about 450 RWHP. Great job.

Now if we only had 1 7/8 headers for the SBC guys.

Watch out for the state troopers if your going on the PA turn pike. They were out in full force today even clocking speeds by aircraft. Have a safe drive with it on your way home. And hell if you want to trade for a nice green fiero you can always stop off in downingtown on your way home.

Kind of a sad day coming up. The car is going home - no more build and tweak fixes. Feeling like one of my kids is leaving for college....... But it's a great day for Troy. It's been an amaing ride. Hope to see lot's of pics in the furture from all the car shows and rod runs. I hope to see this car in person someday. Very nice work fella's!

The old ZZ430 gave you a big smile, but the LS7 gives you a big smile but then you have to check your pants

Well only had her out twice, I have to renew all the paper work and didn't want to temp johnny law. But I made the best of the time we had together . The first trip in the car was crazy after having a heavy foot from a 1800 mile round trip pulling a trailer, it took all I had to keep her straight in first or second. The acceleration was off the charts, after getting a feel for the car I took it up 60 then hit the peddle....... like I said Holy s***...... The speedo only goes to 120 and it was pegged in seconds. ( note to Archie 120mph speedos and LS7's do mix well ) The ride was smooth and the new corvette rack ratio and P/S was great. The new corvette seats will have to go they sit to high and don't go as far back as the fiero seats. More this Spring

Sweet! I have confidence that you will provide some video in the near future to placate us mere mortals . Is there any airstrip close by that could be utilized ? I have visons of video like the guy who owns a Mc Laren F1 who made one on an airstrip of him having fun with it.

I'm back from surgery recovery, Time to start working on #22, this car needs alot of work b4 it can be considered done. In my opinion #22 is a working rough copy at best and needs to be completed. After all the work is done she will get a fresh paint booth paint job.
