Yes. That was one of the relocations I had performed on #015 and I haven't ruled it out; yet. Once the lower have of the bumper is performed, old reflectors removed/glassed, and center Ford GT vent is in place, I'll have Archie try both locations for final placements. In this situation, its the only way to be 100% since 99% of the car is a pipe dream.

Thanks for the thoughtful insight.

Archie has a Solstice at the shop. I'll ask him for visuals.

Thanks.

No work on #020 today, but here are few pics; passenger side is nearing it's completion.

Rear bumper off for reverse side glassing and additional tweaks.

The "Glass Wars" continues; mask & glass, layer & glass, and wait to harden. Repeat process until desired thickness is achived then sanding.

DUB rim begging to be mounted!

Nothing new to report here; just the needed steps to achive my tweak goals.

Bumper pic-tweaks are looking good. Thanks for mounting them Archie. We might need to increase the upper radius to match the car, but for now I love it and it makes the dull sides "pop."

Trying to keep this angle throughout the entire car is making things very difficult and mind numbing; I'll explain later, hehe.

I called the Lotus recycling company and they're sending out the wire connections for the wiper system; cool.

Incorporate the marker inside (C16) where you see the black marker outlined (driver's side). I'll have to tweak the upper and lower edges for a nicer cut and curve,but for now; where moving forward with the Ford GT vent. Once the GT40 vent and reflectors are installed, the Crew can go back and re-tweak.

The rear coil-over are the result of 2-complete turns. I'm guessing this is about right for the rear height.

Its summer time, bring out the grill.

A real Ford GT40 deck grill, but relocated on the #020 rear bumper.

A light day working on #020, but some progress, more on Wednesday. Enjoy.

[A Reality] of the Ford GT Pipe Dream PIPE: now to be mounted on the rear. No need to waste a good $110 part, right?

Back yard grilling; Cut out and sizing up the area. Enjoy

The Cut;

The Purpose; make useful of use a $112 part (originally was to be the 350 deck vent), add some "pop" to the boring 20 yr. old bumper, and lower the bumper fascia a bit by 2" (matching the corners of the bumper sides). Granted, the mod is in it's early stages and is in no-way finished. Enjoy the build.

Thanks.

Curley.

Applying the finishing touches to the passenger side nose;

I'm very pleased with the C6 flipper's body lines. Its always best to tweak items you buy to fit your own personality.

The fascia is lowered by 2" or so inches to match the corners. This modification will allow for aggressive look and feel and aid in eliminating the the exhaust from view. It's not as low as #022, but it fit #020 just perfect. Besides, there is enough room for several mod idea using the MadArch kit.

Ford GT40 rear vent is coming along pretty nicely. On Friday we'll decide the placement for the reflector, but I'm guessing it will be above the exhaust pipes-just below the body line. Also finally tweaking of the rear side bumper vents. Enjoy

Prior build-up, support system (GT40), and glass work

continued pics nearing completion;

The lowering of the rear bumper and over-all rear stance will match the front stance.

Its one of those, "wait-until-we-see" situations . Once the rear bumper is re-mounted and markers are in place-then we''ll know if need tweaking is in order

However, I'm no big hurry; it doesn't get cold in Chicago until November, hehe.
