The area marked is 4 1/2" long next to a 1/2" recess. The G1 door panel is intended to be a replacement for the STOCK Fiero setup, so window switches may not fit very well in the area.

ReMera G1 dash UPDATES: Foam application. Upholstery in progress.

Troy...there was a big mix up on the color on my last G1...Rob's supplier mis-labeled the swatch the 1st time.
So the last one completed, it was the wrong color when it showed up.
But thank God...Brian P loved it and is only about an hour north of me.
The other good thing is that Brian was one of the few that purchased a naked G1 dash and hadn't upholstered it as of yet.
So we did some swapping around ...he took my last one with the incorrect color...that he loves.
Shipped the one he had and other need parts to make up for what he received from me, then paid Rob the cost of upholstering my new G1 dash.
Then Rob agreed to handling the extra shipping costs since the mistake started with his supplier.
Sorry for the minor delay
He almost finished up...then straight back to the door panels.

Maps? What are those? LOL, I thought everyone used GPS's these days.

Joking aside, glad to see these coming to fruition. Never can be stated enough, you do excellent work on these interiors.

At least 30 templates were used in transfering dimensions from one side to another. Trusting eye sight alone can only go so far.

Rob,

How are things progressing...any photo updates?

Also I was wondering if you could send me a loaner set of the metal trim plates.
I would like to send them off to BD Trim to get them to make templates for a G1 Dash trim kit.

Once they have the templates made...anyone could order a G1 dash trim Kit from them

Those speaker cups were a one-off made for the Fi355 doors. Cups for G1 door panels may be different in shape.

I Ran into a problem with the upholstery plan for the G1 door panels. Stitching is proving to be more troublesome & time consuming than expected. I may need to modify the door panel design to simplify the upholstery. Most likely an insert panel will be needed for the mid-section.

Everyone I just wanted to show off some of Rob's work.

He did an awesome job on upholstering my other interior trim pieces.

Thanks Rob!

The only thing we are missing now are those G1 door panels....which I know Rob is working to get them perfect before he sells one unit...respectable.

Not painted...upholstered in material...same as my G1 dash above.

Here is a close-up of the stitch line on the rear trim piece:
